- Well, I totally got my moneys worth (and am somewhere in the mid 40s levelwise)

Not going to bother getting sucked into the drama and banned again- GW2 was overhyped which is the REASON we see so many "hate " threads (many of which I agree with their points)- I knew what I was getting and thus am happy.

A fun game, casual and no sub. I have already logged about 40 hours or so (this is a total guess) and in short spurts it can be a blast. I feel I ALREADY got my moneys worth but know I will still be playing a few hours a week.

Does it lack "depth"? Yes, I feel it does. But thats OKAY and personally what I wanted and expected. I wanted (and got) a game I do not have to be married to and once I get another game to steal most of my time, this will be a nice break to play.

200 hours of fun for 'just' 50 bucks is worth it for me personally.

I never understood why people need 360days /played before they know it was worth the money lol. (mmo-)Gaming is BY FAR my cheapest hobby.

Sports, books, movies, the pub! it's all extremely expensive to maintain.

OP: yup got my money out of it, and still enjoying the ride so far :)

200+ hours of entertainment, with that number rising daily.

If that isn't worth the purchase price then I really don't know what is.

GW2 isdefenitely better than other garbages dumped to players in 2012, but it doesnt change the fact that gw2 is also in my garbage bin waiting to be recycled.

I don't know if I did or not. I made it to lvl 33 before I got completely bored of running around solo all the time looking for content and finding the same few events running over again.

I would say probably yeah, but it's fairly borderline. I felt like I had to force myself to play after lvl 20.

By the way, I see everyone is saying like :

"Yeah.. I only paid 50 bucks(even though it was more like 60 actually), and played 200 hours. This proves that I actualy had fun in those 200 hours I think, I am right arent I? Yeah.. so It means that I didn't waste my 50(60) bucks for nothing. That must be it. Yeah I gotta trust myself. Yeah I gotta trust myself. I didn't waste money... I didn't...."

If a game is really successful, there is no discussions or self-excuses like this.

For exampe, I never seen this kind of topic for Starcraft 1 or Diablo 1,2.

Good for you. It means your brain is working properly and you are a man with common sense.

I even put some bucks into shop. And still got 10x my money worth

1. I still have fun

2. For couple of months I have only short sessions (lack of time) so I don't feel like I'm wasting money on sub

3. Lot of content for only 60$

4. I already play it longer than TOR, WOW and Rift combined. Each of this game keept me interested for around 2 weeks at most (WoW 1 day, Rift 3 days, TOR 2 weeks). Last time I had so much fun playing EVE and before that - Ultima. Really great game with group oriented gameplay.

5. Our guild have more than 300 members and there is always something going on or something to talk about

6. I love races in this game. Those are not just rescined models. Different posture, different animations, different everything. 

7. I love jumping puzzles. 

Far more than that cause even after a month I know I have tons things to do and even more to look forward to!

Most games (offline with online multiplayer as example) gives you like 10 to 20 hours playability max and most mmos gives you things for a week or a month max before you move on again.

Mostly because of the linear approach that leaves a tiny amount of freedom for the player if at all.
