The short bow shoots flowers and the long bow shoots rainbows indeed. Is it the way all MMOs are going now ? I thought Blizzard was going really silly with Kung fu Pandas but here it's even more tasteless imho. |

Originally posted by Tardcore Your ranger can use Axes and Great Swords right? So you can get Frost Fang or Twilight. On my thief all the other weapons I could go for are kind of lame. I'd rather have a joke weapon. |

I hope everyone here realises that there are many different types of legendary bows, right?
There is NO miracle patch. 95% of what you see in beta won't change by launch. Hope is not a stategy. |

Yeah but long and short bows are my favorite wepons for the ranger so just deleted my male ranger and replaced him with a female one. He was Asura anyway, a race I don't particularly care for as they just look to me like the result of a Gnome shagging a Murloc. So it looks like I'll be playing a human, jiggly, frou frou, pink clothes horsin, girly girl, Ranger. Maybe it will help me get in touch with my feminine side. Barbie's Majestic Unicorn Bow, here I come!!

And it must be a norn mesmer and the killing blow must be the detonation of all clones, that way when the player dies they die in a sea of pink butterflies too, now that would be fabulous! |

Originally posted by Aeolron The fallacy of your post is that my subject includes the [subjective] tag in it. Please read before responding. A line like "A lot of great details in there and certainly show pieces regardless of their outward appearance! *appluad*" Does not make sense to me, especially given the subject matter. You are also assuming way too much, and putting a huge spin on what I said, while at the same time interpreting it as something so far flung for reality its not even funny. You throw out how great the art direction is, which the original post also referred to yet do not make the link between whether such a weapon's aethetics belong or syncronize with the art direction. Finally, you say not to be biased but all I see from you is a bias... a bias by definition is the interference of rational thought. I am trying to be quite rational about my opinion and question, therefore I think you didnt really comprehend the nature of the post and thread. Please try not to do that again. If you feel that the design and aethetics fit into the Guild Wars 2 universe and the over all art direction, then just say so. Thats all the thread is about. You cay elaborate on that opinion or just leave it at that.

Looks like my wife and tenage girls would LOVE this! I haven't convinced them to try GW2 yet but these 2 items may just push them over that edge. They love ranger/hunter classes as well. Well time to email some pics...

I'm still working on getting my Hello Kitty daggers. They will be epic! ...or legendary?

Exactly - and there in lies the issue. If you are a ranger (as I am), and were planning to craft a legendary (as I was) - these are your only two bow options if you want to own a legendary and still use a bow (lets face it, a ranger without a bow in either slot is just not cool man).
Go ahead and say I am over-exagerating - but I am literally considering re-rolling tonight (from my 80 ranger) because I want to earn legendaries that I can enjoy looking at. "Judge a man by his questions rather than by his answers.” - Voltaire |
