ReginaBuenaobra This should address some of the unwanted WvW exploits we have seen, while still giving people the opportunity to switch a server to play with their friends. EQNext press http://EQ3Wire.com EQ2: Freeport server |

Originally posted by Nadia But, I thought ANet, according to this: “Although it might be bad sportsmanship, espionage and sabotage are legitimate tactics in any combat based game. We would not consider the use of these tactics to be a violation. Please let us know if you have any further questions.” from this thread: http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/473/feature/6738/Guild-Wars-2-Review-in-Progress-Part-4-WvW.html ..wasn't ANet condoning that behavior? Now they are changing their tune?

Originally posted by Telondariel They aren't "changing their tune" at all. Spying, Espionage, Misinformation, etc. are NOT considered Exploits. They are not "bannable" behavior. Having said that, it was never their intention to allow free, unlimited Server Transfers. They had technical issues with the Guesting System that was supposed to allow friends on different Servers to participate in PvE together. Combine that with the game being more popular than they expected leading to very high concurency, they wanted to allow people to move around to play with their friends. This wasn't much of an issue when WvW matches were only 24-hour affairs. Now that they are switching to 1-week matches they have made a change to free transfers to still allow friends to play together while limiting people from bouncing between Servers hourly (or even more frequently). Eventually Server Transfers will be a paid Service and if they implement it as originally described people will be locked out of WvW for a period of time after the transfer as well. But even then Spying Won't Be A Bannable Offense. |

Originally posted by Telondariel The problem with allowing espionage and sabotage and enabling it through server transfers is that there is nothing you can do about it. In a real war spies can be captured and executed, but in GW2 they're free to stand there listening and reporting to their own server via TS even if their cover is blown. |

For me, once a week would be even better. But they need to get guesting on different PvE servers to work.

Once every two weeks would be better imo, or at least with a two week WvW lockout.

I like it and dislike it at the same time. I like it because it will help control the exploiting in W v W and hate it because game is very buggy and now i can not switch servers to complete broken skill challenges, hearts and events. ;( Damn you pvp 'ers as usual you screw PVE folks lol |

Once a week or two weeks would be better, there's this guild called RUIN that's living up to their name. They'll keep doing it with the 24h limit. |

This is fine for now. Eventually it will cost gems to move servers.

Free transfers to SMALLER SERVERS ONLY once a week, would be best.
