As someone who makes 3d art assets for a living, I have no idea what you just said righ there. What do you mean by "show pieces"? A lot of the art in GW2 isnt actually all that great, some parts are... some not... its the art direction (the combined visual effect) that it excels in... seems like this bow is not part of that however.

Did you see how long it takes to get legendaries?

It does look weird, but when I think of it... I don't mind it, I'd get used to it if I had it. 

I think it would be really funny to have this bow on my charr ranger :D yeah, I'd actually like having that on my charr ranger just for the laugh :D

If your into making 3d art then you know not to be bias, you basicly just told that person who likes the look that since he/she is not a artist that he/she does not know what a nice looking picture or model is.

Since you say your a 3d artist , you should know what a show piece is, honestly it does look neat for the female player LOL but I know where they got the idea of show piece because it looks GOOD thats what show piece means, and the art direction in GW2 is actualy very very good , I have friends of mine who are wait for it , professional artists into graphic and painting , and they said outta four of them three told me that the artistic feel and warmth the art offers is appealing , on highest settings and even went as far as to say that the art work looked liked it was painted by hand and uploaded to the game itself.

So everyone has a different opinion , just don't give advice on opinions to other people then be judgemental to others based on their opinion.

One would have to question what the art director is thinking at this point...and this is just one of many of the legendary items that seem questionable...and or out of place in Guild Wars.

Well last time I checked I wasn't one of the people employed to make decisions on what should and should not be allowed in GW2.

Now if you're asking do I find such game additions aesthetically pleasing? No I don't. I think that bow, and all the real world drivel in the cash shop look absoloutely fucking ridiculous.

You are injecting too many over assumptious things in that post. No one asked if you were employed at arena net, much less that that has to be the qualifying property to give ones opinion (subject clearly says subjective) on whether you think it fits or doesnt fit in the setting or as a legendary weapon.

Also where is this elitist tangent coming from which claims our opinions have to dictate what is and is not in every game made by man? Its just an opinion, try to give it without adding in lines like "i dont recall a law" or "last time i checked im not employed there so visa vi ergo". Thanks.
