Dueling outside of Iron Forge during vanila and ofc Open World PVP during the World of Warcraft PVP introduction patch - Pre Battlegrounds patch. 24/7 Massive(sometimes server crashing) raids in Hillsbrad(SS-TM), The Barrens(Xroads) and Westfall... Just pure fun, too bad they've ruined it with the Battlegrounds, well players ruined battlegrounds when they stopped playing them for PVP and started farming them for rep and honor(AV exploits, leader rushes, etc`). But Blizzard didn't help with its pantering towards making them more accessible, after the patch BG's used to be the center for everything PVP half the server would be parked at the entrances and except for WSG where the entrances were too far apart both at AB and AV(especially) there were open world PVP battles all the time since people would just go and poke the other side. Pretty much since they introduces the instant ques it all went down the drain, no one used the entrances any more, no socializing, no dueling, no open world PVP nothing :(

In vanilla WoW I was level 30 ish Tauren Druid and hanging in by the pirates on the southern coast(forget name). I see two ?? Level alliance zeroing in on me. They would have been level 40-50 judging by gear and the slower mount. Anyways the one charges and I'm shifting in and out of cheetah form and just get to the water with them both hot on my heals. I can't remember what the second guys class is as it probably happened 6+ years ago. Anyways, I made it to the water and everyone should know you dont mess with a druid in the water. I switch to seal form and dive as deep as I can expecting that to be the end of it. Well the warrior is leading away with his buddy in tow and dive down to get me. I turn to them feeling brave in my new form. The warrior gets close enought to charge. My hits me and almost one shots me, so i quickly renew and gain distance because my thorns kicked in and the warrior is now rooted. I root his buddy now and proceeded to start chain casting on both of them . Some get resisted, but others land. They realize their predicament and desperately start swimming for the surface. I cast, resist, I cast again, success. I rooted the warrior a mere two to three feet from the surface and drowned the bugger. I could not keep his buddy rooted but he got to witness the death of this friend. He stared at me for a few minutes then ran away. TLDR: In WoW I killed a toon 10+ levels above me. |

This is an instant classic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2fANLYHfbU Avalon Torpedoes are an area-effect weapon that can 1-hit most fighter class ships, were taken out in alpha, and re-introduced as a rare bot drop about a year ago. I didn't get any clean kills in but after taking heavy damage from Nahin Lor I decided to nuke a nearby asteroid, catching myself and everything around in the blast (Kamikaze torpedo attack at 6:10). The video ends observing the finale to the nation war from a distance; slime and Andy Spades, two very skilled players, in an energy duel. My first ever keep take in DAOC. I was a new 50 mid warrior. Well I was in my shiny new Epic gear, and thought, screw it i ll just charge up and kill those weak as casters in the lord room. I learned very quickly teamwork was very key to success in this game. As I layed there dead in the lord room, I saw a slew of big troll warriors/thanes/zerkers, push up slowly, inch by inch, the battle that insued was easily 25 mins, for one set of staircase, and a lord to kill. I have never ever seen such teamwork, and coordination then that moment, and never have in any other game since. I remeber saying to one troll warrior after we finally took it, how the hell did you survive that, he laughed and said, get some healer friends:) After that fight, I was asked to join that troll warriors guild, that I stayed in for 6 years. COJ was our name on guinevere server, and I made easily 20-30 friends I still play with to this day. I was laying dead on my fondest pvp memory for 5-10 mins, got rezzed and hung out scared with the healers till my rezz sick was gone, then took what I learned from that and had the most amazing time ever in pvp. In DAOC I had many many many more. |

It's funny how all the memorable pvp moments are mostly World PvP moments. Do you know why? Because what's to remember about killing so and so by the flag for the 10,000th time in some redundant BG. |

I agree- my fondest memory was our designated guild night for battlegrounds in WoW but it could have been just as easily done in any team-based PvP situation. |

Aside from almost any given moment at the crossroads or Buc Den in UO... I'd have to say the siege of CoS's Val'Haven city on the Treachery server in Shadowbane. I was the first one in, basically flying overhead to attract the NPC guards. My goal was to stay airborn and alive long enough to lead them out the back waterway and into the sea where they, in their infinite NPC brilliance, would drown. This bought us the time for the furies to fly a small team over the walls to start the internal skirmish while the army outside set up the trebuchets, armed themselves with siege weapons and took to tearing up the back wall of the city. When we broke through the wall, we all just flooded in and the next couple hours were spent in constant battle and smashing a section of the city into a fiery sprawl of trashed buildings.
filmoret: One thing I have never figured out is why the game devs hardly ever fix simple problems that arise. It is like they don't care about the pvp community. Nitth: What makes you so sure its a simple fix? filmoret: Because most of them are. Sometimes its just changing a number in a code string other times its creating a few variables. However none of them should take over a few hours of coding. |

It was in EQ2 Nagafen World PvP Server....
I found this chinese farmer with a full bot group under control near the top of this DEEEEEEP mining shaft. (Zek). I snuck up to him and punted him over the side. He plunged forever it seemed until he hit the bottom. His group had him on auto-follow.....
good loot. |

There were a lot of great stand out moments in Precu SWG, but I'll share one of the more memorable.
I was an imp terikasi/fencer and there was this rebel town I loved to terrorize. On my days off of work, first thing I'd do is log on and head down to this reb town and start farming their base which was just on the outskirts of their town. Of course, the occasional reb citizen would show up and try to stop me and I'd kill them. Sometimes when I would get bored I'd wander through the streets of their town and kill anyone who happened to be attackable.
Well, one day I show up and start farming the base as usual, when out of the hills from multiple directions comes the townsfolk hell bent on killing me. There were too many, so I decided to make a run for it. It was a running battle all the way back to the imp base on Dantooine. I just kept spamming the knockdowns and running my ass off, popping spice and snacking along the way to keep going. They fought me within an inch of my life but stopped at the base walls just as I entered the base and screamed, "THE REBS ARE COMING THE REBS ARE COMING!!!!"
All the adrenaline pumping through my veins, I was shaking and could barely type. The base was calm and quiet, Imps were just standing around, chit chatting, going about their business. All was calm. One imp turned to me and said, "What Rebs, newb, I don't see any rebs."
About that time a small army of rebs stormed the base. Many died. A couple of the reb townsfolk had only eyes for me though and they converged. I fought all around the base and again decided to make a run for it, but this time....I had an idea. A GOOD IDEA. HEHE. I ran out of the base with my pursuers right behind, and ran right up to an AT AT. I stood under it's shadow and made some obscene gesture at the rebs. One of them must have thought, screw it, and he charged. The AT AT jerked to life and killed him. Then it started attacking the other reb and I ran out and finished him off. HAHAHA
But the best part, a Reb Come Lately zips up on his hover bike to spectate the carnage. I destroyed his bike and killed him. An imp walked up, looked at the body and the smouldering bike and said, "Damn, that was kind of mean, lol" To which I replied, "War is hell."

Not to long after WoW launched I was leveling my paladin in Desolace(sp?) . Anyways I get jumped by this, either hunter or warrior, forget what it was aside it being a Tauren and 5 levels higher then me. Anyways as hes beating me down I start going through my many paladins never die abilities. I use I believe 2 invuls which allow me to heal up, my hour cool down, and a health potion. After a long fight, I would say about 5 min, I finally manage to kill him. Just made me laugh on how hard paladins were to kill then. The other time was when I was around level 40 and got a beat down from 5ish low 30s Horde, simply because it was funny and unexpected. |

first time reaching 1800 in 2v2 WoW arena hands down. I still remember the other teams comp and exactly what happened. You should have heard the cheers that went up when the match ended. It felt great going to get the weapons we worked so hard for.
Another is when I was on my feral druid, just doing some hunting in Winters Grasp in between battles. I was hunting the daily quest area. I must have killed this boomkin six or seven times. About 3 minutes later I got a wishper that said..
"hey stop doing that. Your breaking the code." I was like what? they responded "Your brealing the druid code." I looked, and it was a level one toon lmao. I said "What code?" they responded "The druid code! Druids don't kill druids." lmao (still today) I said "okay man" Last thing he said was "Good."
A few seconds later the boomkin popped back up. I let him do his daily lol. DamonVile- Games built for disposable players are now apparently built by disposable employees. |

One more because I have time and now I'm nostaligic. Sorry. Another Precu SWG moment.
This one happened outside a city in the northern part of Naboo (Kalderra ?) when my main was a girl. She went through many different classes, so I'm not excactly sure what class I was. I think it was a mix of gunfighter and bh though. Anyways, I was outside the city limits and had done some imp missions from a terminal in town. As I completed my missions, I returned to town and was reading through the quests trying to find a nicely grouped pair when some Reb scum in an orange flight suit ganks me from behind. Then he 'LOL' and casually walks off.
Well, I was so pissed off, lol. I rezed and started looking for the reb. I found him standing in line at a shuttle port. I attacked, and he incapped me and lol'd again. Mother F#$#@. I jump up and attack, he incaps me. Then he sits down beside me, "Sorry," he says, only his appology justs makes me angrier. Maybe my character was on her period? Anyways. I jump up and attack and he puts me down for the third time and I die.
I rez and run back, but the shuttle has already left. Damn, damn, damn!. Ah well, I walk into the med center to heal up my battle fatigue and who do I see standing there but the orange jump suit reb. I attack and he has no problem incapping me two more times. The third time he hands me a rose and says, "Truce okay?" I grumble, but accept his offering, deciding to heal up rather than be suicidal. He waves goodbye as I leave the med center.
About thirty minutes later I'm doing missions outside of the city. I'm fighting a couple horses, and am about half health, when what do you think I see coming at me from the corner of my eye....but an orange jump suit! Just as I'm finishing the horses off, he comes running up and incaps me. Then he 'LOL' and sits down next to me. "I missed you." He says. "I missed you too," I said fuming.
"You're kinda cute," he tells me. I jump up, he incaps me. "So are you a real girl or what?"
"Can't you tell ?" My standard rp response.
"I'm bored," he tells me.
"Sorry I can't be more entertaining for you," I tell him. I jump up and he incaps me.
"Oh you're entertaining," he tells me laughing.
"And you're an ass!"
"I know," he says, and hands me a rose. "I'm gonna leave now. Maybe we'll meet again?"
And meet again we did. It was like....a forbidden imp/reb romance. He never asked again if I was a 'real' girl and I never gave him cause to doubt the illusion. One of my fondest memories of him was the two of us sitting together on a hill overlooking a reb/imp battle. I'm pretty sure the sun was setting. I was just living in the moment, through my character. It's a nice rp memory. |

The two fondest PvP memories I can remember: WoW: Tarren Mill or Astranaar back in vanilla days. HUGE numbers of people would show up on both sides and the battles would go on for hours sometimes. Playing a rogue was fun, but I had more fun in these giant battles as a druid. Healing my fellow Horde and rooting Alliance players trying to run away was so satisfying. Darkfall: I was travelling from Zaghuroth to Red Moon, which is a long ride. On the way I found a treasure chest and when I opened it, I found a house deed! Sure enough within a few minutes I came across a couple of Dwarves who were waiting by a bridge. They tried to ambush me, but I was mounted and ran through their trap before they could bubble me. I looked back and they had also mounted up. I used the terrain to avoid their attacks and never ran in a straight line. I used trees, rocks, buildings, whatever I could find to keep out of their line of sight. They chased me for a solid 10 minutes trying different ways to catch and trap me. I knew that if I died, I'd lose my house deed as well as most everything on me, so the adrenaline rush was intense. They eventually gave up when I neared Red Moon. Current: None |

My best PvP moment was in Dark Age of Camelot on Mordred the FFA PvP server. There were 5 of us in Tir Na Nog: a Healer, a Paladin, a Savage, a Skald, and me, a Shaman. We were just leaving through North Gate, and just outside the tunnel is a full group of 8 from one of the top guilds heading in. Both groups are taken by surprise, deer in the headlights, and our healer recovers the quickest firing off a hastened AOE Mez that gets the whole group. We don't think we have much of a chance, 5 vs 8 never ends well for the 5 group. The Savage is main assist and takes off after their back line followed by Paladin and Skald. Healer is popping stuns on the main target, I'm throwing DoTs, Roots, disease on the breakers, and we're both hugging the corner of the tunnel to step out of LoS. The assist train gets their Cleric and Bard down, but their front line assist train gets free and starts chasing me. Perma sprint plus instacast AoE disease means their Melee has no chance as I kite them down the tunnel out of LoS of their support and casters. I take out the Zerker and root the Hero and get back in time to root the Champion who's harassing our Healer. I throw a few base line heals to help out those who are low on health, and a quick glimpse of the battlefield shows that we still have 5 guys up, and it's just basic cleanup at this point. The Hero emerges from the tunnel instead of zoning into TNN and our assist train is there to meet him. 5 vs 8 and we triumphed. We never felt so Godlike again.
