It doesn't make me sick, but I do dislike it and would like an option to make the camera control more like in, for e.g., WoW, where as soon you stop moving the mouse, the camera stops immediately as well. The whole "deceleration-before-fully-stopping" thing just annoys me.

It s a terrible design choice, It actually gives me a headache after 1/2 hour or so. Nothing in the options help it.

I don't have that problem. I think you should try cranking your video settings down a notch or two.

Many games have it (like Istaria and EQ2), but it can be disabled to give you a more "stiff" camera control, which I prefer greatly. I will say that from my experience, it does seem to have a bigger impact on systems with lower frame rates. My friend runs at around 35-40 most of the time, and it's very noticeable on his system, almost unbearable even. My system, on the other hand, once I lowered a few settings to get a constant 60 fps, it seemed to make the "camera lag" much less noticeable. "Welcome to Moonside. Wecomel to Soonmide. I too am having issues with my mouse. I wish there was a way to turn off acceleration and deceleration on the mouse. The camera turn speed also seems to be capped. I play all my games with very high mouse speed and it frustrates me that I can't turn fast enough. It does seem that this was a design decision, probably to avoid things like PVP where someone runs back and forth through you by doing 180s realy quickly.

Have noticed it also, don't like it but like the game enough I've ignored it as best I can. Luckily it isn't making me sick so far. I haven't looked for a setting on it, probably should, ahaha.

Originally posted by adam_nox I don't have the same problem then. My camera only moves when I move it with no acceleration or deceleration because I have it dissabled in my mouse's software. I do care about precision. There is absolutely 0 acceleration on my mouse/camera movement in GW2.

From my perspective they fixed mouse control. about a week and a half ago. Prior to the change if you held deon the right mouse button you toon would spin in place when you slid you mouse left and right, like all other mmos. There were problems with it though it was sluggish and unrepsonsive at times.
After the change holding the RMB no longer turns you toon. You have to be moving to turn now. LMB+RMB. If you just hold RMB now the camera does this panning in and out thing. This got rid of the dsuggish unresponsiveness of the first couple weeks.

I had a problem with the rotation speed. I found the mouse control slow and my wrist started to hurt. When I checked in settings (duh), I found the rotation speed was pre-set at the slowest. I put it up around the middled and it works just fine for me now.

The OP is right. This was brought up during BWE, but they still never fixed it. This is one major reason i dislike the movement in this game. Here's a thread that explains everything. |

soo... The issue must NOT exist, then? - Al Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse. |

Granted it's been a couple years since I've played WoW, but the way the camera and mouse is...feels exactly the same? Just upped the camera speed slightly for my personal preference. If we're talking about the amera doing little shakes during fights and such...pretty sure that can be disabled. The mouse issue...no clue. Never had a problem with the mouse. |

The camera movement is atrocious. It shows the developers have no clue. Usually cheap ports from consoles suffer from such poor camera movement. The way the camera turns, swings, accelerates and smooths + keeps moving for a second after you dont move your mouse is maybe not noticeable for casual players, but I expect 1:1 linear camera movement with the movement of my mouse. Alan Wake had similar terrible camera movement or Dead Space 1 and Alpha Protocol, to name a few. REALITY CHECK |

No such problem here. And I'm a heavy FPS player, so If i had such a problem trust me, i would notice it. Play arround with your graphic settings abit, turn v-sync off. If you can't set the game right it's your fault, not the game's. |

It's nothing to do with mouse look speed.
I can change my mouse speed on the fly with a click of a button. The game his doing that mouse smoothing thing. Basicly it doesn't stop immediately when you let go of the mouse it dies a gradual slow to a stop. There in NO OPTION to turn smoothing off. It's a weird issue to be having, you normally get it with console ports, as it kinda makes sense to do this with analogue sticks on game controllers. |

Anyone else feels that the need to having to hold right click for 90% of your playtime is annoying? I mean the game's combat is an improved version of the secret world's combat but the camera goes backwards. I would so love to get the option on having camera rotate when I move my mouse cursor just like an action game I simply hate having to hold right click every damn fight.. |
