UPDATE: As promised in my previous submission, I have divided my long crafting video into 4 separate chunks in order to make them easier to watch and make the information you want to find easier as well.
Please rate up if you think this information is helpful for newer players and if you decide to downvote, please leave a reasoning why to help me improve. Thank you.
Original Post: Greetings MMORPG forums. I am new to this site as it was suggested to me from a coworker. I'm pretty much a newbie to the Guild Wars series as I only really played GW1 without any of the expansions, so much of what is in GW2 is new to me and I'm still learning. One thing I wanted to delve into was crafting, having found a love for crafting in other games of similar type.
I found some things to be a little confusing and I had a hard time finding information I wanted as I was just starting to craft so I made this Tutorial video to help those that might follow. Basically I wanted to help newbies that might not know how the system works or how to gather materials. The importance of things such as salvaging were things I missed out on as I started and it just wanted make sure I could help others down the line.
So I present to you my crafting video (Guild Wars 2 - Introduction to Crafting and Basic Tips). I am really seeking feedback on this one as it's my first Tutorial for Guild Wars 2 and really the first hour long instructional video I've made. I hope it's an easy to follow guide, if a bit long, and I really hope it can help newbies get into the game and get to crafting.
Please let me know what you think, it's much appreciated. |

Thank you very much. I usually try to get as much information as I can into my work. Honestly I didn't expect to run into anyone who's seen my channel. :) i'm still kind of small game as far as YouTube commentators are concerned. While it would be nice to get some of the fame other commentators may have, I really just keep doing it in hopes that my information will be useful to someone, somewhere.
I do have a followup to the Original Post as well, I have already taken the steps to seperate the video into 4 smaller segments. It took a bit of time yesterday having to remake intros and outros, but I think they look fairly good. They should have finished encoding by now and I can start uploading them sometime during the weekend. I think I just want to review them for any issues before I start the upload process.

I must toss out a huge, gigantic thank you!! I have crafted a bit but have mostly avoided it so far. I'm looking forward to digging into leatherworking now and this set of guides is right on time for me! Massive kudos man! From what i just watched (very little of it so far) it's very well done and easy to follow along!

The biggest thing I can tell you that I'm not sure I stressed enough in the video: If you want to level, do discoveries. It's so much more XP than just crafting in bulk. Good Luck! |
