You see this guys? This is how you make a successful baiting thread. All you have to do is wait for the mods to go to sleep and then have at it.

Initial sales doesn't = successful game, it just means it was a successful launch- keeping the playerbase after the first 6 months is what matters, and SWTOR isn't cutting it. |

Congrats SWTOR only required: 2.5 times longer, a STAR WARS IP, probably 10 times the marketing budget and the lack of presense of any major competition for months to reach the same sales as GW2 achieved after 2 weeks. And only about 8 times longer to get 0.4 times more than GW2 now has too.

Originally posted by jondifool Guild Was sales have passed the total sales for SWTOR for the same time period... They have so far sold more in less time. By the time they are 6 weeks out from Launch they will most likely have stayed ahead of what SWTOR sold. |

OP, I am one of the many many fools who believed the hype over SWTOR and pre ordered what I considered to be a game I would play for years. A couple of months after launch, I like many many other people cancelled their subscription which is now the reason SWTOR is going F2P in record time for a AAA MMO. SWTOR was such a disappointment, I will never pre order an MMO again but will rather wait a few months to make sure I will never be bitten in the backside like I was with SWTOR. |
