I noticed myself getting boring in the higher lvl areas. And suddenly I realised why. The Risen. They are in about every area I visit and I'm really getting tired of those mobs. They are boring, have ridiculous animations (Benny Hill show anyone? ), barely do dmg and take ages to kill. Most of the hearts and events about them are the most boring ones Ive played so far. I just can't stand them anymore. I even prefer dredge over Risen. At least they have cool animations and their classes etc make more sense as a mole like race. The Risen must be one of the most annoying endgame mobs I have ever seen in a MMO. |

I'm back playing Vanguard a full blown mmo,GW2 was always going to be fleeting moment. After playing Vanguard for 5 plus years i still haven't seen and done all there is to offer, its mmo gaming on an epic scale.
GW2 is a good pick up and play for a short while but pales against the vastness of Vanguard.Getting to level 55 in Vanguard takes months not 2 weeks or a week in some cases and that just adventuring, crafting to top level takes months and diplomacy top level takes months.
All three combined will take you near on a half a year perhaps longer, thats one major flww in GW2 and many other new quick fix mmos.

From what I hear here I hope this game will still keep some players.
I enjoy the game and I cant imagine going back to another MMO.
Maybe its because I love they removed gear treadmill I dunno... But I cant imagine playing other MMos atm. Playing ATM: Diablo III KICKSTARTED: Camelot Unchained. (250 USD) |

I hit my first level 80 just today, and i really don't feel like i rushed - I had free time and nothing to do, so was able to play a lot. I did some crafting, did every PvE zone up to 40 a 100% ( all 1-15's, all 15-25's, etc )
After that i got into WvW a lot, still doing PvE every now and then, but enjoying WvW far more. The PvE was an obsession at first, but as i leveled it became a chore, kind of dull.
I'm definitely not quitting the game, but i sure think I'm burned out on it for now. My missions are around level 76-77 now i think? So i have a few more to go, but i died twice in the mission I'm currently at and just couldn't find the motivation to ressurect and try again seeing as all my escort NPC's died in the middle of a group of mobs.
The games fun, but It really seems like It's meant for very casual players, i don't really feel like theres a bigger "goal" to strive for, because everythings achieved in the same way, kill strong packs of mobs, WvW, or jump puzzles which i enjoy the most out of the game, but are really hard to find. |

Originally posted by k-damage That's even more boring, since a max level character has more fun than a low level.. Check out the kind of builds a max level warrior can make compared to a low level warrior. well warrior is a bad example.
Use Guardian. Guardians have some fun builds at 80 compared to the limited skills at level 1-30. taking your time is the same as being restricted. Nobody like restrictions.

Originally posted by someforumguy I noticed that as well. Figured it was just a Orr thing, and will change when the other endgame zones open up.

I have to say, it's quite apparent that Guild Wars 2 isn't marketed at the hardcore or extremely enthusiastic gaming crowd. Take me for example, I work, I go to the Gym and I enjoy a few beers at the weekend. I've been playing since Head Start and I'm only lvl 22 on my Warrior - with no alts. I've done a bit of PvP and focused mainly on crafting. I imagine for those of you who are bored and are sitting at level 80 the answer is quite simple; Guild Wars 2 isn't the game you're looking for, or the game you perhaps, were hoping for. This is a game for people who don't have the long hours to commit to larger, more time consuming games like Vanguard, Aion or WoW's end game raiding.
I'm sorry to say it, and I'm not trying to be patronising or anything, it's just the simple truth of the matter. It'll probably be months before I reach cap, I do - to some extent - feel sorry for those of you sitting at 80 now and who are bored, I really do - perhaps some day a developer will cater for your needs; unfortunately for now though, Guild Wars is not that game. |

A lot of other games I can have a blast playing all day, but GW2 I just can't put myself to play for all that long.
I think my problem is just the complete lack of progression. Sure, you get 1 talent point a level, but I just don't feel like my character is really going anywhere. Its something in an RPG that really can be a drag to feel as if what you do really doesn't matter all that much. At level 1 you will be using the same skills as you will be when your level 80... it just feels like its the same thing over and over again without any change. |

This game is gorgeous, has a lot to explore beyond map completion, I'm just getting my feet wet with WvW, I'm super low on crafting only 2 professions and I'm level 36 with one class and under 10 with 4 others. I haven't even tried battlegrounds (or whatever they call them in GW2). I think I have a ways to go before I'm bored. Enter a whole new realm of challenge and adventure. |

Still not bored. I found a cool cave maze (not marked on the map). I'm trying to wind my way to a treasure of some ghost. I won't say more, but it is awesome and really tricky getting there. I feel pity for those who are bored already, not because this type of game isn't for them, but because they seem to have little imagination and an unwillingness to take advantage of or create adventure opportunities for themselves. There is lots to do if you look for it. I have a whole list of things I want to do. With the HoM bonuses I still have things I want to do in GW1 (I love how the games are linked). |

Bored? I can't get enough. I'm only roughly 70 hours in, but I seriously can not get enough of this game. I've played just about every mmorpg out there, but the only games that have kept me this entertained after 60 or so hours have been all pre 2002 releases. UO, M59, EQ1, AC1 and DAoC. Every other mmorpg, whether I like dit or not, left me bored after 60 or so hours. I am so not even close to bored here. Hopefully this continues.

Yes.
I played around 6 hours a day as I lost my job recently so I have now 2 level 80s and the third is nearing level 80 tomorrow. After she will hit 80, I will no longer log Guild Wars 2 at all. After replaying all content the 3rd time you have seen everything there is to experience. My first level 80 even has 100% world completion for that matter.
At the endgame there is nothing to do except WvWvW which has long waiting times or dungeons which take 3+ hours per run which is not my kind of fun (explorable modes).
I waited 5 years for the game, didn't play any beta weekends to save content and yet I am already bored. Usually I'm loyal to a MMO for years and create endless characters for replayability but in Guild Wars 2 I cannot stand it anymore, something really bugs me whenever I try to progress now, not sure what it is though. |

Originally posted by littleXuro Its a odd thing for me as well. I can t stand even logging into it, so I unistalled it. I gavce it every chance, but knew I would be torturing myself leveling, as I found it boring from the get go. I just figured I would uninstall it and see what happens to it down the road. I have plenty of games to play, probably at least a years worth, maybe then i ll check back into it. I m sure by then it won t even enter my head though. |

have a mesmer lvl 17 and necro lvl19, the PvE and theorycraft is enjoyable. The outfits are well made. buuuuuuuuut, tried WvWvW and spvp yesterday, the first was a caotic clusterfuc* zergy thing where u couldnt put 2 pieces of shi* and a trail of pis* together. The former where a 8v8 something, gone to a place to capture then 3 roflloling guys at lightining speed came close to me and killed me in 2 seconds. maybe im too old, but the pvp was too fast and furious and mindless for me and i couldnt understand shi* of what was happening in the battlefield. on a sidenote : i playied warhammer and enjoyed the hell of the PvP, i guess a more tactical and slow paced game is my calling.
