This bothers me. I thought stacking, to the detriment of many other useful stats, healing power, would make me regen and heal others more effectively, but all of that for 12%? It's just pointless. Are other stats similarly ineffective and just a suger pill or what?

My warrior as 101% crit chance... So I think it can be effective but perhaps not for healing.

Do you realize how significant a 12% increase in output is in an MMO? Especially for that tiny amount +healing, considering you can easily get 100 more healing from traits at that level. There are talents in some games that increase your damage or healing by 10% and those are considered the best must have talents in the spec. |

Traiting and gearing for healing is far from ineffective in this game. In fact, from personal experience this is one of the bigger misnomers floating around. It can be hugely signficant in dungeon play, WvW and even sPVP pending on whether you run with norms or guildies.
1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical. 2. So let's go through the paces shall we? Math 101: 10 * 12% = 11.2 50 * 12% = 56 100 * 12% = 112 1000 * 12% = 1120
12% is NOTHING in MMOs because they normally do NOT use large numbers as their BASE starting stat. For example, a heal at level 24 that only does 27 increased by 12% is ONLY 30.24 rounded to 30. That is PATHETIC, and has zero beneficial effect on you in the long run when you have 2800hp. Now, I will side with the OP in the fact that MANY classes (especially the Necromancer) are horribly underpowered at the moment compared to classes that are in their "Green Zone" such as the Warrior. They've stated the Warrior is EXACTLY where they want them to be, meaning they don't need fixing. However, the necromancer is currently one of the most underpowered broken classes in the game currently (Dev Confirmed). So when you stack condition, power, or +healing you really do not see a significant increase since the the Skill's BASE modifier (ie: what the percentages actually affect) are too low for their prospective use.
Right now I stack TONS of + to healing gear and +100 to healing from traits. My 27hp heal went up by 22% to a grand rounded to 33hp each tick of my lifetap (9 tics) for a total of 297. Note, this skill has a cooldown of 40seconds and now I do horrible damage trying to increase my survivability. Where as if I stack say power, precision, or condition, I barely get any sort of increase but at least i'm doing damage again.
Don't base the OP before considering his stance more carefully from an educated position please.

Life tap? Are you talking about well of blood perhaps? Or wait no youre talking about life siphon o.O It doesnt have a 40 sec cd though hmm.. On another note, I feel like Im nigh unkillable in sPVP on my necro so I cant really vouch for saying "add more heal scaling" o.O And umm..did you even look at the traits from getting that 100 healing? Cuz yknoe...50% more health siphoned...Then siphon health whenever you hit foes. Kinda OP if you want it to heal even more. ''/\/\'' Posted using Iphone bunni |
