FAv sim....Freespace2 in my opinion no one has nailed space combat as well as that game did, doing a bombing run on a battleship, flying down its flanks to hit its soft spots........... Fav Fun game.....The old dungeon keeper series, still go back to that every once and while, a very funny game. Fav RTS.....SINS (the space rts) have alot of hours clocked on that. Fav MMO........Vanguard as my MMO, I do try and love her, and its a strange relationship, something akin to dating your ideal woman, but once a month just turns all batshitt on you and tries to stab or smother you in your sleep. Fav Fallback MMO....Eve, I keep getting out of rehab, but then after some time off Eve, the biggest dumbass'd pair of rose tinted glasses gets put on and I go back for a period of self flagulation, come to think of it, its the same glasses I wear to play Vanguard, (self insight moment) AHHH FRACK IM MESSED UP. There is no God, there is no Devil, nor Angels and Demons, there is only us, surely thats bad enough, for no creature is able to commit such acts of hate and love, sometimes in the same day. |

Oh man, that's a tough question. I've played so many different games over the years that it's hard to decide. I guess, thinking back to what I spent most of my time playing while I was still in school, I would have to say every Blizzard game (minus Starcraft and Warcraft) before WoW. Diablo II would most deffinitely sit at the top of that list. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
So: 1. Diablo II 2. Warcraft III 3. Warcraft II 4. Diablo
Honorable Mentions: Mafia Unreal Tournament '99 Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magic Obscura

XCom =)
Then probably Morrowind, Quake 2, Unreal, Neverwinter, Icewind Dale and Fallout. But... XCom is for sure top pick ^^ |

I have around a hundred Steam games, but here are my all-time faves on this particular PC. - Left 4 Dead 2 (played this one so much) - Borderlands (such an awesome shooter) - Half Life 2 (anyone noticing a trend?) - WoW (even though I uninstalled it recently, it brought a lot of good times) - Guild Wars 2 (have only scratched the surface of this addicting new addition) - Dungeon Defenders (best tower defense game I've played) - Team Fortress 2 A lot of other big releases have failed to impress me, I'm not sure why. no GW2 won't kill WoW, but it's time to move on and quit worrying about those people still playing it. - eyelolled |

I forgot about rollercoaster tycoon. Although I don't have it on my computers now, when that came out I was all over that like a dog on a turd.

Only game I ever go back to is Civilization, haven't played it for a while though. Best RPG I played was Baldur's Gate II. I doubt anything will surpass that game. I still haven't finished Neverwinter Nights, I just lose interest when I get 2/3rds of the game completed, then I have to start again the next time I pick it up. Looking at my games shelf, I really need to Ebay some stuff :) |

Originally posted by JimmyYO I recently picked up Rollercoaster Tycoon 3: Platinum at Walmart for $20. It comes with both expansions as well as the base game. It's the best 20 gaming bucks I've spent on a whim in a very long time.

Diablo 2 and Unreal Tournament. I had so much fun with the original UT Domination and Assault matches.

I could make a _very_ long list of rpg's and strategy games (original, turn-based ones, not the rts crap which they lately labeled as strategy :) ) but since you asked "game" and not games, it's easy: GTA Vice City. I know it's a bit strange selection on an mmorpg site, but I'm a content-type fellow when I play offline as well... and I love the 80's :) I play it through every year at least once. Actually I have the game twice, I bought a second one a few years ago only to have an unwrapped box which I can put in my "best-of" collection... |

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. By far the best RPG I have ever played. The best graphics of any game released so far (ever), fantastic art style, amazingly immersive and detailed world, great story, tactical combat and choices that have huge consequences on where you go, who you meet, and how your journey plays out. Buy this game. If you thought Bioware/Obsidian/Bethesda ever made good RPGs, you have yet to play this game. |
