Seems like the GW2 defenders are starting to get a little rattled and worried. the more time goes by the more responses seem to be less about anything that has anything to do with issue at hand and more a panic rush to attack the thread as quick as possible.
I do kind of feel what the OP is trying to say about mists battlegrounds and pvp. It is not that the actual fighting is that bad it is just that the battleground maps seem to be too small and for me WvW map size is okay but the lack of waypoints leads to too much running. Like I have said if I own a keep or what not and it is not currently being contested why can't I respawn there? |

They should let us make appointments for pvp. That way I could do some errands instead of waiting a random 1-3 hrs in a que.If you miss your appointment you get your appointments priviledges taken away for 72hrs.

Haven't tried it myself, but I'm curious, is anyone still trying to say that WvW is the long-awaited spiritual successor to DAOC's RvR?
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world. |

Originally posted by Vhaln My DAoC guin server guild thinks it is, the majority of those guys have leveld 1-80 on nothing but WvW and they love it. I'll take their word for it but I'm having "for the first time in my life" more fun on the PvE side of things. Orr, crafting, and DE farming for my gear is a frikkin blast. |

@ OP Use stealthy sneakteams to capture back points.. join those teams instead of making a revenge zerg. Scouting is so much more
and yes.. random spvp atm is not everyones taste.. i myself never join it. What i do all day though is either groupQ or soloQ for tournaments, i find that much more fun :D |

Originally posted by Grimmx Structured PVP is intended for coordinated team pvp. The fact that you are looking for a 1vs1 in there is the joke here. I agree about the WvW queue though. They need to do something about that. |

Then do sPvP. Of course you're not going to have many 1v1s in WvW. Come on now... I personally love WvW. Queue time varies per server so not everyone is waiting loads to get in. 1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical. 2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself. 3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose. |

Originally posted by someforumguy Im not looking for 1vs1, but i do enjoy it to happen now and then. What this game has given me so far is getting burned down in seconds most of the time if your not grouped up. Cooldowns and heals doesnt mean shit, you will die anyway. For me adding up or zerging people isnt that fun. |

Originally posted by Grimmx Why are you so against sPvP? That leads to a lot more opportunities to 1v1 anyways. /shrug I log in and do PvE until my queue time pops. Although I will admit I don't have to wait as long as many others apparently do. They need to come up with something i will admit. Queue or not though doesn't sound like you really enjoy WvW anyways. 1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. Originally posted by Aerowyn So the answer is to reroll on another server then? As i said earlier, i transfered a lowbee char yesterday to end up in a new que on a medium load server yesterday. When i entered a NEW que i wasnt so thrilled at waiting anywhere from 5 min to 2 hours in a que to play www, so i logged of. |

Originally posted by Grimmx I think it is fun but if you try running around by yourself you're going to get farmed. Just how it is. Even if you are fortunate enough to run into a 1v1 scenario chances are before it is over one of you is going to get screwed by a bunch of others showing up. You don't have to run around with the zerg raid group but should at least have a few with you. Need a few anyways to take anything besides guard points or taking out caravans anyhow. 1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical. 2.
