Originally posted by MrReality Seriously, I've never seen anyone who actually enjoys the game say this except via sarcastic hyperbole. It is used FAR more often by people who do not like/play GW2 as an excuse to echo whatever negative tilt is on display in the current thread. It's become a very cliche, kneejerk response and was tiresome months ago. |

Originally posted by Atlan99 No surprise you chimed in here as well. It's like clockwork. On topic: Other than the TP being down (now it's up) I've lost nothing anywhere and encountered three stuck/bugged DEs. There are minor issues but I've enountered nothing anywhere close to labeling the game a failure. And as an earlier poster said, the game gets an update EVERYDAY and the issues are being fixed. But it is in no way unplayable for anyone I know in real life or my guild. I realize this is a small sample but nevertheless my perception is my reality as is the case with those having more serious issues. I feel for them and hope they get them worked out. |

Originally posted by Sorrow Puhlease, you are willing to pay 180 bucks or euros a year for a service you will use once or twice? And not just paying for that, but rather to be served a bit faster. Current subscriptions are thievery. Since the beginning of mmorpgs costs of everything related to backend infrastructure went down, yet the prices went up. |

If you thought it was going to be the messiah of all gaming-kind, yeah, you were probably wrong. As for fixes, it's a bit too early, there are some serious issues, the launch has been rather rough, but even the best dev teams need more than a week to fix their game, some issues that show up when a million people are bashing your servers aren't so easily solved. If the same issues still persist for over a month, and customer support did nothing for you, then yeah, you'd definitely have a ground for complaints. When the game launched, their website charged me three times, it took a good 2 weeks for them to fix it due to the large masses of similar problems, but I was still happy. In most other cases I would have had to file a complaint at my bank and go through a whole mess of paper and phonecalls to get my money back, here I didn't. |

Originally posted by Sorrow well their game is awesome, but i will have to agree with you that there were issues that would be solved easily if they have done proper betas and not commercial BWEs ...

Let me tell you something. I am a subscriber og The Secret World. It is a $15 sub game, has a cash shop also. In game support for me has been awesome. But, with lots of bugs and some major breakers, each patch that has come so far, they say problem should be fixed, not only are they not, but new problems arise. We have been dealing with this with every new patch. This is coming from a subscription based game. And try to remember how Arena started, where they come from, and the fact that many many many people have flooded to this game. Despite the negative posts in the forums here, people are still flocking to it anyway. Maybe they will need to hire more staff, i don't know. But so far i havent run in to anything game breaking that I am aware of.
