To the OP - please don't use "rediculous" in your support ticket or follow up posts on the support forum. If I saw that, I would think to myself "This idiot deserves everything they got".

MMO's are incredibly complex beasties & GW2 is one of the biggest launches in history, other than doing like a million betas and stress tests, there not much more a company can do to try and pre-empt insane techniacl issues that come with millions of people storming your onlne world. If you have been through a few MMO launches you all should know this. To use the word criminal to describe Arena net almost made me shoot coffee out of my noes. What would you compare it to WOW? Anyone care to share there opeing month experiences that happened there? I'm not saying that GW2 is perfect and i know it sucks people are having problems but we need to have realistic. I have every reason to belive Arena net is probably busting there collective Ass'es to try and fix this stuff. |

In the grand scheme of things its a pretty good launch. Of what I've been at at launch, its; been better than Wow, daoc, war, Aoc & dcuo
It's been worse than coh, rift & tsw It's been about the same as swtor & aion I'm not talking quality of the games here, just quality of the launches. |

Originally posted by ShakyMo For me personally SWTOR lauch was better than GW2. All basic features like mail, auction house, chat were working fine. Apart from long queues i had no problems. In GW2 i struggled to log in for a day or two because client was having problem, only to log in and get stuck in overflow to get kicked out again. So yep SWTOR was smooth sailing in comparison. |

Sounds like all of the issues are with the cash shop, which I want no part of, and as such haven't used... And I haven't had a single bug or issues with the game... So, how to play Guild Wars 2 without any issues? Stop using the f-ing cash shop! |

Nik: but gw2 doesn't ctd every time you alt tab
Also swtor has severe performance issues, framerates are worse than graphicly superior mmos like tsw and gw2 |

The OP's account definitely was hacked. And while his anger is understandable, it's simply misdirected. First, such things happen in every multiplayer game. And second, blame hackers, not developers or support. My support ticket was answered. Took CS a couple weeks so the issue was actually resolved long before that but they did answer. I wasn't hacked so I have no clue about how long it takes to get lost items/currency back but GW2 CS does work even if slowly. MMORPG genre is dead. Long live MMOCS (Massively Multiplayer Online Cash Shop). |

No. But there is a problem with calling people criminal. CRIMINAL. We're talking a crime. Fraud. Criminal negligence. Whatever the pathetic 'poor me' fantasy entails. And yet the reality is that (a) OP hasn't put on a single shred of proof and (b) the process has been shown to be both working and timely and (c) that OP actually doesn't tell us, beyond some vague generic claim of:
On a personal note so far I have lost $50 worth of gems, 7 gold, and everything that was in my primary bank box.
What the heck happened? How did the OP lose $50 worth of gems? How did the OP lose 7 gold? How did all the bank inventory disappear?
OP doesn't even tell us. I'm guessing a hack with that kind of damage. Which means OP bears responsiblity. No security system will work when the users of that system corrupt it with laziness, incompetence and apathy. |

A game with a million + prepurchases has thousands of people with account problems. Sorry but that is less than 1% of prepurchases with issues. That does not even include sales after the fact. Acceptable margin of error if you ask me.

Sorry to hear you were one of the unlucky few. I would try to be patient. It is likely they are working on it, but as you said since this is not a sub game it may impact that speed in which bugs get squashed. However, do not forget that the current sub games out right now can take anywhere from 1 - 3 weeks to update or patch an issue, while GW2 has been patching every few days. I am not trying to make an excuse for the company, but I assume given their quick patches that they are trying to do right by the customer as best they can. I hope your issue gets resolved.

Let me get this straight... The OP re-uses an unsecure password and login combo with GW2 that has been used with some other site that has been compromised, and as a result of their own negligence gets brute force hacked, having their gold, gems and items liquidated to fund some overseas gold-framing site, and it is somehow Arena Net's fault? Haha. tell me another one. |

They have stated on the forums that it is impossible to lose gold on the AH. If you buy something (it might take some time) but you will get what you purchased. The way the system is designed its virtually impossible for anything to get lost along with way. What more then likely happened is you placed a buy order for an item and its still waiting for the order to be filled by a seller. I will be the first to admit that there AH system does not have the best interface in the world. It could be improved alot in displaying the information. If you go into using it like you did the AH in WoW then you are going to be confused up the wazzo. Because that is not how the AH works. Think more along the lines of Eve Onlines AH system. As far as the gems go. If you put in a ticket you will get the gems (if you where not hacked) as everything is logged an they can easily see that you bought them. As far as getting into the game. There is a % of people having issues. Noone denys that, but I doubt by any stretch of the imagination is 10%. More then likely along the lines of 1-2% of the population (not that, that is acceptable or anything like that). The game has sold way more then a million copies. It's sold so many copies that ANet themselfs have stopped self selling digital copies of the game in there store. An that says something cause direct game sells are one of your biggest money makers when it comes to sells. |
