But yes, Angry Joe is always entertaining. Even more when he and Spoont teams up though.

the review seems more like PR but i like his summary:

GW2 puts a spin on old ideas, improving them

he gave tbe game 10/10 but makes it clear this rating reflects game value for money spent

he does say the game has flaws/issues but the flaws dont take away from the overall game experience

I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't count as a review.  Is it because he doesn't have much negative to say?  Imho, the game is quite good.  Or is it because he talks about why a ton of gamers don't like MMOs and how that has nothing to do with being massively multiplayer?  Something else?

Hey, I went with the Priory.  You're not going to backstab a dragon in the dark.  The Order of Whispers methods seemed to do well for my personal story when they showed up, but I didn't see how they'd be the longterm solution to the dragon problem.  Research, research, research!

In my opinion it sounds too much back of the box reading with just a bit of comparison, it has nothing to do with being good or bad, just to me that is not a review, that is an overview of the features and how it compares to other MMOs, on a review I would expect him to go more into actual personal experience + back of the box sort of stuff he spoke about.

Yeah I think that's it, while he does a very good job at presenting those bits of information and even the little videos representing that specific feature, for a full featured review I would expect a lot more in depth personal experience. Its just my opinion, I personally dont care about reviews, but I am def using that video to actually send out to a couple of friends so they can get a nice overview of what GW2 is about.

Funnily enough my girlfriend picked VIgil, and I could tell she got a bit jealous and regretted a bit of not picking Order of Whispers when she caught a few bits of the story with tybalt ( we play side by side ).

anyone rating the game 10/10 is just plain wrong... anyone rating the game 1/10 is also just plane wrong..

At best GW2 is an average themepark MMMORPG thats b2p with a cash shop..

7 tp 7.5/10 at the most and thats not me saynig the game sucks balls or anything.. its just nothing special and can get pretty boring.

Try to be fair.  A lot of people disagree with you.  Or are you saying they are wrong when they say they're getting a 9/10 or 10/10 experience from the game?

That's a particular style of a review, but certainly not necessary for one.  He does go over specific things and shows his gameplay.  He also is clearly expressing his feelings about the game whilst stating facts.  And he goes into a lot more detail than the back of a box would have.

Maybe not your perfect review, but it definitely has all the qualities needed to be a review.

I will concede to that, it is a very personal opinion sort of thing, so yeah you might be right, maybe I should have said that I think its missing a few bits.

Thanks I wasn't sure if it was posted. The threads here are moving so fast! It is hard to keep up with it sometimes. Yeah I usually love his reviews as well, pretty entertaining. I was a bit surprised he gave it a 10 out of 10, I thought he was going to give it a 9 out of 10.
