Originally posted by The_Korrigan Not hacked the gems just vanished, last night, now I can not even access the trading windows getting an " invalid authorization " message in all the trading windows. The gold I purchased crafting mats on the auction house, was suppose to be 40s it ate all my money and never did get any of the mats I purchased. Still as I said before considering I can actually get into the game and its playable I consider myself lucky compared to what I see on the official forums. |

You may not have lost anything then. I sold a white dye on the market, and also thought it was lost, but the gold arrived some time later.

Originally posted by Sorrow It seems to me you are just frustrated with customer support, and not the actual game such as events, characters, etc. It's a valid complaint, and the customer service should be a lot better than it is. It doesn't stop GW2 from being a bad game though. It's designed really well. |

Originally posted by Djildjamesh I've played pretty much every AAA mmo that has ever been made, a number of indies, as well as, a handful of asian titles. Launch week for WoW had a 3 hour phone hold to get my issue resolved. Until now think the longest I have ever waited for support was with DAoC, 48 hours. HOWEVER, other side of the coin.. UO, EQ, Rift, AC, hell even TSW.. "launch week" support response time 15 minutes or less. Point is if you care about your customers, you provide adequet, better yet more than adequet customer service.. ESPECIALLY during launch week. |

Originally posted by Lokberg Certainly the line is based on sarcasm. But there is some truth behind it. You know what happens in EVERY thread (without exception) where someone states why "GW2 isn't all that". It does almost borderline on religious fanatacism with some posters. If the conversation turned "Tit-for-Tat", and I've stopped posting, Consider it your win. |

You were hacked? That sucks... The game is actually growing on me although frankly their customer service overall so far has been rather pitiful. Really no excuse for it. 1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical. 2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself. 3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose. |

The OP lost money in game due to a glitch or something, she had to make use of customer support (something most of the posters had no need to do) and had a bad experience with them. That in turned influenced negatively on her opinion of the game, customer support being a part of it. Is that it? Have i missed something? Cause if i got it right i dont understand the amount of negativity the OP is getting. |

The difference I would suppose be anonymity and extra work. If someone is going to take you seriously on facebook, you better have your real life picture there, but then you no longer have the anonymity to protect you. Not to mention everyone who refuses to use Twitter and Facebook for games. |

Originally posted by Wickedjelly Spot on. I was really 'meh', but fell in love with an Asura Mesmer. Havent delt with CS. Did ask/vent last night in "map chat" about a story instance. Got a bunch of "you cant play/noob/log off" comments, so the same "online community" is there. To be fair I also recieved several tells filled with quality asisance. Basicly it confirmed my understanding of humans: some suck, some don't. In truth, if it had a sub I'd be pissed since I hve felt my experiance has been slightly buggy, and I just started playing 2 days ago. That and I think I might hate the "over-flow-constant-popup-server" thing they have going on. |

Ah, ha ha ha ha ha ha... I've played a lot of MMOs. I've never gotten anything but an automated email telling me to try the same generic steps -- until this game. I've never had a forum post that received anything but a generic cut-and-paste post -- until this one. And frankly, I've never been in one as responsive or quick in patching as this one:
In the past two days they fixed issues with the storyline steps "Fury of the Dead," "Grisly Shipment," and "In The Ruins," "A Light in the Darkness," "Estate of Decay," "Explosive Intellect," "Rumors of Trouble," "The Lost Chieftain's Return," and "Tribunes in Effigy." They changed the downed mode camera to maintain a more consistent distance taking race into account. They fixed the issue with parties not staying together as they travel into dungeons. They fixed with the storyline steps They added an option to stop queueing for your home world, for players who want to remain on an overflow server indefinitely without being asked.
We found some cases where players didn't receive items after purchasing them on the gem store. We have records of all occurrences and are in the process of refunding gems to all affected players. Note that refunded gems will simply be added to your account's gem balance.
And tonight, there's an option to report gold sellers mailing you advertisements being put in. I'm sure there will be other fixes...
And you call them 'criminal.' Whatever... |
