So why release a game with dungeons when the dungeons don't even work and each party member ends up in a diferent instance of a diferent godforsaken overflow server bullcrap system?

 

I wonder what else can the game do to be less worth the 55€ I had to pay for it.

it has the same hiccups that ever other mmo has at launch..to act like this game isnt worth the 60 bucks because of this(which will be fixed)is laughable at best...move along people nothing to see here.

Considering Trading Outpost has been down for maintenance for days with no real information giving other than we are working on it , I am guessing that dungeons will take months or years.

what do u mean by ANOTHER failure? everyone knows GW2 doesnt really have any flaws. just minor little things. this game is wrecking every other mmo ever made.

 Sooo what dungeon doesnt work? what level are you? why can't you join with your party? Are you reffering to the join in feature that is for getting into the same world version or acctual dungeons? Do you understand why overflow exists and why it is to your benefit that it exists? Do you know what a troll is?

Okay, now I understand when people get frustrated with things not working at launch.  I really do understand.

But...read what you wrote.   I mean, seriously....read what you wrote and tell me that doesn't just sound ridiculous.  "months or years" is a really long time not to fix a problem.  Do you really, really believe yourself?

Yes but with each succesive launch of a new AAA MMO the excuse of "it's the same as every other game" holds less and less water.  At some point these companies have enough data, and in the case of Anet GW1 launch to look at, that they need to be launching these games much closer to 100% working features. 

The MMO genre really is pretty unique in this approach.  Most normal business or services that launch with important features that are broken will allienate their fans and severely hurt their business before it even gets going.  With MMO's people just shrug and say, but it's the same as the rest, it''ll get fixed eventually.  It really is an odd phenomenon.

Lol really?

Trading post is on all servers, so to collect data, current market values, previous market values, and 5 day high's/lows is no easy feat. 

Yeah it sucks it's down, but for a game bug, i'm happy it's that, and not zoning into entire zones, or super glitches, or heck, all other MMO launches. 

I'd say give them a week max on overflow servers.

The "Youtube Pro": Someone who watches video's on said subject, and obviously has a full understanding of what is being said about such subject.

The dungeons themselves is not what the complaint is. But the grouping in the overflow servers which is currently not working. It also doesn't work outside the dungeons.

I got my Warrior up to 30 asap and have run AC Story mode multiple times both on my home server and on overflow with different groups and have had no problems at all....I have easily had my $$ worth already just in the Head Start period. Anet have been pretty good at fixing the issues as they have appeared so give them time, I am sure it will all get sorted.

I've never heard of dungoens doing this as they don't have overflow servers as far as I know,but this is a known problem with people grouping for "open world" stuff.His post seeme sto indicating he's nto tlakign about dungoen isntances at all which is why it seems the title is misleading,unless the OP cna clear it up and provide more information.

The "join in" feature doesn't work inside dungeons, and when used outside dungeons you still end up in a diferent dungeon when going into them. The overflow system is crap, sure it's there to allow you to play instead of waiting queues, but why make a game with the scope of GW2 that just can't hold the amount of players it's getting? Is this acceptable in your country? Because I live in Europe and we tend to rightly demand to enjoy what we've paid for. That's even considering that the server I play is always on "medium" population, yet people keep being sent to the "overflow" servers for some reason.

 

Add up to the Auction House utter fiasco which basically means that to progress any profession you need to farm each low level area like a chinese 20 levels past the level you're meant to do them, and you have a game with a pretty poor quality of life overall. Only the PvP is entertaining and working more or less - and that's simply a bigger version of WoW's wintergrasp.

The title is misleading because his issue has nothing at all to do with the Dungeons. I'm pretty sure you know this and are just being obtuse on purpose, but unlike you, I admit the possibility of my own fallibility. Perhaps you are just unable to make the connection.

Yes but with each succesive launch of a new AAA MMO the excuse of "it's the same as every other game" holds less and less water.  At some point these companies have enough data, and in the case of Anet GW1 launch to look at, that they need to be launching these games much closer to 100% working features. 

The MMO genre really is pretty unique in this approach.  Most normal business or services that launch with important features that are broken will allienate their fans and severely hurt their business before it even gets going.  With MMO's people just shrug and say, but it's the same as the rest, it''ll get fixed eventually.  It really is an odd phenomenon.

I don't understand why you think it would be any different.  I would highly doubt any launch will ever be near perfect.  Like seriously the first couple days to initial week should continue to expect downtimes and things not working properly.

Maybe the reason is in digital technology we can't assure everyone is using the exact same stuff.  Your comparing an MMO to a cable or sat service is comical.

 Sooo what dungeon doesnt work? what level are you? why can't you join with your party? Are you reffering to the join in feature that is for getting into the same world version or acctual dungeons? Do you understand why overflow exists and why it is to your benefit that it exists? Do you know what a troll is?

From my experience with it, the overflow is a mixture of log in and map management. What i dont get is why people get transfered to different overflows randomly. Why do i get put in overflow if i wasnt in the overflow and i teleport. Why i get put in ovelow when i cange maps.
