Being as most of us live in supposedly tolerant societies it is with some irony we can express intolerance over the most insignificant things when online.

Therefore I would like to express my intolerance of this intolerant behaviour.

It's only in American English that spelt is a kind of wheat from Germany and not the past tense or past participial usage of to spell. It jars me to see it too, but if he's from abroad, he's actually doing it right. 

I use hehe because it isn't LOL.

Everyone has something that irritates them. 

One of my pet peeves is when people in game feel the need to correct your spelling or grammar.  Another irritation is when people group with you, but as soon as they get what they came for suddenly they have to go.  

But back to your pet peeve, 'Yuk yuk' ?  Where are you from that you have heard laughter like this.  I have never heard anyone ever make that sound when laughing.  'Ha ha' is also very rare to here.  Maybe an android would say, 'ha ha' if they were trying to approximate joviality, but usually laughter is not confined to two syllables only.  

I feel using excessive internet shorthand (and texting shorthand) in MMOs is a sign of either an uneducated or a lazy person.  Most educational instructors would also agree that using shorthand often tends to cause it to leak into formal writing.  Some examples of the shorthand I am referring to are:  "LOL", "ne1", "sum1", and "sk8r".

That said, I do not criticize them on the spot for using the shorthand.  It only gets irritating when I have to spend extra time to understand what their message was.  I typically ignore them if it gets that bad.  If you're one of those people, consider taking some typing lessons if it really takes that much longer to type "anyone".  I would definitely prefer to see "hehe" as an expression of humor instead of "LOL".

Half the crap this generation says in short hand annoys me. everytime somone goes into leet speak mode i stop listening. I use the english language, because i can insult people 1000 different ways using it.
