I'm sorry but, while, if the launch was bad (can't tell because i'm not playing), that is not a factor to determine the score of a game. GW2 should receive it's final score based on the various game element it's made of, which requires time, of course.

GW 2 is a generic themepark with a twist, like all other recent released so all I am expecting is a few weeks of entertainment, a 7/10 at most. But since I cannot even use the service I will give it a 1/10.

Yes, that is why it is called a headstart. However, unlike you, I dont think it is OK to say headstart and not actually giving the headstart.

I got to play for 5 whole hours last night and I am still tweaking out about it. Absolutly brilliant, I have not had so much fun since kobold hunting in elwynn forest. I am willing to admit that there are a few too many loading screens and the no "auto-attack" thing is a gimmick, but the rest of my experience was stellar.

1/10? lol.. Even Swtor is higher than 1/10 and it's much much worse.

Personally, even if I couldn't play because I couldn't log in (I'm at work), my deserving score based on my experience so far (including the beta weekends and what I played last night) would be an 8.5/10. Three things.... the way I usually score games isn't today's gaming sites where a 5/10 is the worst game ever, while a 7/10 is an average game... for me an average game gets 5/10, while a bad game gets a 1 or 0/10, so I consider 8.5 as an outstanding score.

The reason is not a 10 is first because of connectivity issues some people are still having (can go up or down depending on how quick they solve them, but will probably go up unless they don't solve it before the actual launch on the 28), plus some features that were present in GW1 that I would have liked to have in GW2 (guild alliances, for example), or present in other games that I feel should be there as well (custom chat channels, for example)

That said, though... I have a general rule of not adding the score of an MMO on any reviewing site until I've been playing at least a month.

Here's the short list of problems with this thread:

- OP clearly has no idea what game he bought since he thinks its a generic theme park with a twist. Clearly WvW is just a twist, among several other things.

- OP goes into the first day of launch expecting it to be smooth. Must I remind you Blizzard just launched Diablo 3, and that first day was absolutely catastrophic? I played GW2 for 7 hours last night. Yes there were problems, but at least I could play.

- OP thinks that because he had a bad experience (due to really off-base expectations), that the rest of us should rate the game what it 'deserves'. At this point, it gets a 10/10 from me as being one of the smoothest launches I have seen.

Yamota we understand you are deeply hurt. 

Okay its a 1/10 from your point of view of GW2, we understand your feeling toward it.

But unfortunately to many its still a 10/10, sorry if that hurt you deeply as not many will see it your way. I apologize for all those that wants to take that 1/10 away from you and give a 10/10 for GW2.

Please don't take it the wrong way, when we play a game and we love it, we will tend to give it a very high score, it has in no way a campaign to take that 1/10 away from you.

Again, don't feel bad that this game might just succeed and become popular, maybe you will play it, maybe you will not, but we will always be there for another MMO launch. 

We are deeply sorry that ANet caused you so much pain, because they are causing us many joys and a mean to spent our time for the weekend. While we will be enjoying a great game, we will always appreciate your 1/10 score and know that its from you.

The headstart started about 12 hours ago, the headstart lasts three days...your experience doesn't yet qualify as "not getting a headstart", sorry. I've come to expect this kind of thing on launch day, of course, i'm not a spoiled child either, sooo...

Actually, it isn't like WoW at all. In fact, Arenanet has been using that fact in their marketing of the game. Seriously dude, do your research and get relevant.
