It was moderately acceptable in GW1. But for GW2, It's too ridiculous... Why do rangers not have quivers on their back? Why can they draw arrows from nowhere... Such a small, simple detail, yet constantly weighing on me. It's one of those "once you see it, you can't unsee it" kind of things. |

I played a hunter in WoW and I have to agree. Quivers do add a certain... something... to the game. Hopefully they can be added later on.

I never really noticed mine in WoW because I used guns a lot. I don't see what the big deal is. Sounds like a cool idea but I'd have to see it to really know if it was something worth trying to get ANet to add. Any links of a good quiver example? I guess the ones in Skyrim were pretty cool. I'm not sure if I'd notice it if it was gone.

Now that you mention it I cannot unsee it. We should start a petition to add this. ;o

Why doesn't my Rangers arm get tired after firing at these mobs for 6 hours straight. This is immersion breaking.

that needs to be done will all weapons then when you swap from say a great sword to a sword shield they come out of no where and the greatsword goes poof and then when you swap back the sowrd and shield goes poof and the greatsword comes out of no where.

Quivers were a "not for launch" feature that they said they would look into down the road. They said that Engineer Backpacks were a proof of concept for being able to do quivers. So, hopefully, we will see it.

Originally posted by denshing Rangers in the GW2 universe all have planar pockets or bags of holding... Problem Solved! Seriously though, yeah I would kind of like to see the quivers as well but not a deal breaker for me. |

Funny but I would think the fact that you never run out of ammo would stick more in your mind... I mean really, why do you need a quiver? To hold invisible ammo? Makes more sense not to have a quiver... it's like pulling a rabbit out of your hat... the ammo just appears out of no where... like magic. A quiver is merely a crutch for the non-believers.

with some of the incredible attention to detail that these folks have shown with this game, I would not be surprised to see things like quivers make their way into the game someday. Hopefully they can do it soon :)

Originally posted by denshing this is very true. I always look for small details like this one which are pretty common in mmos. While some people say that it doesnt matter and we dont need it in most mmos, the more attention to detail the devs give to their games the more appealing the game looks for the consumer. I really love when games satisfy my eyes with realistic details like pulling the arrows from an actual quiver, waving hair, etc.
EDIT: i said these details are common in mmos.... i actually meant these details are commonly missed in many mmos. |

Infinite magical arrows created by hand when they are needed, or...
A quiver with infinite arrows...
Second one seems more immersion breaking... so that is why first one is used...
Ok, lets make it, that character has quiver, and needs to pull out weapons out of his bag when swaping.. and can't hold more items than his bag can hold, and gets tired when he runs to long, and drops weapon when hit to hard, and bleeds out if wound is not covered......... always room to make it more realistic, lets stay without quiver though... |
