I'll buy them as I need them.

My Main GW1 account has 15 character slots filled and I anticipate playing GW2 a lot more than I played GW1, so I know that eventually I will buy more.

Of course, I do have two GW2 accounts, so it will be after all ten of those slots are filled. :)

I have a severe case of altitis.  Even if I don't play them heavily, i'll still poke around at the other characters, I'm still not 100% sold on what my favorite classes are. :)

In most MMORPGs i try to have about one of every class.  I just like experimenting!  It also helps you know your enemy and all.

Agree with this- I only ever end up with around 1 main and 2 alts in every single mmo I have played- will use gems for bag/bank slots if anything .... oh and the cool Ray Bans gotta have some "Top Gun" style !

Remember, if they do presents like they did for GW1, the earlier you create the toons, the earlier you get your year 1 presents.  The more toons you create, the more presents you get.

Edit:  I'm buying as many as I can.  I'm maxing my bank slots and then maxing my toon count just for the presents reason.  They can sit and be a mule.  They get 30 free slots per character.  Thats a LOT of storage.
