Those are probably several patches packed together, as patches aren't downloaded separately, but the files that are updated are basically stacked on top of each other, so to speak. Edit: To Volkon: I'm not so sure about that, the CD Installed client doesn't seem to be that large.

That's probably off, but it must be really big. 70% for 475 MB now, so estimate around 0.65 GB now. I believe it was 580 MB or something, lots of people patching though. Slow going here, but it midnight now.
