That's mistranslated. I don't think they mean that.
If anything they mean they're still adding content, they don't mean Arah is launching half done. |

Originally posted by Jagarid afaik release of wow for the states was somewhere in november 2004. i actually still played the EU beta those days (after playing the US beta for quite some time now). according to the timeline, 1.1 was released on november the 7th 2004 and introduced MC.
point being, MC was in (not sure for the states, but i had it in my version, EU). diremaul came later correct, but that's not highend content is it?
i still dont know why they actually released earlier in the states, maybe they needed some payed beta testers *G*
so, if you release sth within the first month, sure, that's no big deal. if you need like 4 or even more months or sth tho.... people WILL be bored without highend content (there aint alot of mmo's that take longer than a month to max lvl)
ps: for the next time you wanna make up some statements about WoW classic: http://www.wowwiki.com/Timeline_%28World_of_Warcraft%29
check your times first :) "I'll never grow up, never grow up, never grow up! Not me!" |

Not a creditable source. So far, all official statements by ANet at conventions or expos are backed up by Twitter and Facebook. If the infromation wasn't released there, then it's not an official ANet statement and shouldn't be taken as fact or even remotely close to it.

from the various leaks it appears this is true, but it needs to be more robust. From the leaked information on various feeds it seems that high level end game areas and content is about 80% done so its not like there is nothing there. Its just not all there yet.

Originally posted by otinanai123 for one they just have to define the endgame (e.g. last zones) as endgame, makes it easier than saying, the whole game is endgame but the end game at the end game is also endgame ? (confused myself a little there) and they said they were going to avoid the D3 disaster. plus you missed the best news, if that if your account gets hacked and you claim it back it will be returned to its former state before hackage :) |

I'm shocked, really I am... This just follows the trend of theme parks having poor first impressions on launch day. Very inexcusable considering the game has been in development for 5+ years. I wonder what other stuff is not complete they aren't sharing with fans.

otinanai123, why did you not post about the other leaks saying the "endgame" is about 90% done. Stirring up the pot for no reason. Also, who the is that guy. It is just some random dude on a forum.

And...what is endgame? Especially in the context of this game. And do we have a reliable source on this, not some portuguese translation of a french reporter using google at a gamescom conference that was in german.

Quite frankly I'd be happy to pay the box price for what was only shown in the BWE's the ammount of content there is worth the box price alone especially with the PVP aspects. more is better irregardless of when its 100% complete. |

According to a source I'm not giving they've just started testing Arah and Orr, it's done, but needs polishing.
That's probably what they mean, they haven't cut shit out of it. |

This whole "end-game" mentality is the biggest thing wrong with the MMO genre, whats even worse is it is seeping into RPGs in general. People are so fast to cite Diablo 3 for is lack of end game, which is completely retarded as the Diablo series are supposed to be a roguelike style. Meh, not like it matters this thread is just trolling by a bitter DAoC relic anyway. |

Originally posted by DJJazzy I guess they would define endgame here as Orr and Zhaitan. IMO the thing with MMO:s (and some other games) is that you can continue to play after the endgame. For example I didnt stop playing WoW because I killed Deathwing the first time, I continued. Same with GW2, loads of stuff to do after the endgame (even more than WoW tbh, since there you mostly just repeat the endgame, going to lower level zones are pointless) |

I think a more exciting thing is hearing that GvG will eventually be implemented :)

IF it is true and if it's something like Orr is not ready for three months or somethiing I could see it as being a very bad thing for GW2.
