People take time off so they can go to an island, get trashed and probably catch somthing nasty.

In the USA it actually depends on where you work and how long you have worked there.  Most companies start you at 1 or 2 weeks and then give you 1 extra week for every 3-5 years you work for them.  Capping you at 4 to 5 weeks.   Some companies are stingier than that though, and others are even more generous.  My father had 8 weeks of vacation per year when he retired, for example...but my company stops give you more after you earn 5 weeks at 15 years.

Also, if you work for the US government, you get more days off than you work each year..... >.<

I've taken 2 weeks off. Was going to anyways around that time because the rest of the year is difficult for me to get more than 2 consecutive days off work.

So perfect timing on launch date (except that it's during month end which I usually can't get time off at all but they made an exception if I remain standbye on call).

Also I've found a spot in the local forest where there's an open wifi connection so I can take my laptop and combine the best of both worlds :)

i got a week off  for Gw2 then i'm 10 days in spain :P so i'll have to find a hotel wih good internet ;)

yes nobody is asking you to do it, you do it cause you want to do it . isnt that great ? you can actually use your holiday and enjoy the way you feel is best for you? wau! narrow minded people come up with replies like " you actually book time of playing game " is same as booking time off whatever the reason you find most fun to you.

Anytime from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, or 1:30pm to 4:30pm in South Australia.  Officially the later time, but they have said it could be up to 3 hours earlier.
