Man, a well-geared and well-played warlock can own ANY class AND you just said she had a rogue, well....I cannot think of two classes MORE different than the GW2 elementalist and the WoW rogue....seriously. 

 

Maybe she just found the right class for herself, or even the right game.  You act like it's a miracle or something or like something is wrong with the game.  Maybe she's just more compatible with the GW2 elementalist than a WoW rogue.  And maybe you're feeling a wee bit threatened since your gf might be able to own now?  Maybe?

For one a level 84 lock isn't going to be well geared.  Also not sure when the last time you pvp'ed in WoW, but a Rogue (expecially in full pvp gear) is over powered.   Resilience is so high, with so much mitigation and self healing available, plus a cleanse (CoS), DoTs do next to nothing.  Which is the main reason I switched to playing my Hunter in PvP, as otherwise it was just way to easy.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it is one of three things:

1. She is actually having FUN and enjoys GW2, which means she is trying harder.
2. Skilled players in WoW have better gear and gear > skill in WoW PvP.
3. You're lieing just to try to bait people with the implication that there is more skill involved in WoW PvP then in GW2 PvP.  In which case, GG.

all I see in gw2 pvp videos are ppl bashing 2-3 buttons

even my grandma can do that

no doubt it will draw alot more casuals to the game

simple game = more ppl will buy the game = more money

 Chess is a game with a low skill cap.  I've been playing board games since the 1980s, and I've played multiple games of chess.

Let's do a quick comparison with Monopoly, which is a game with low skill cap as well.

Monopoly amount of players 2+, chess 2 = chess easier.

Monopoly can only go bankrupt once, chess can 'die' multiple tipes = chess easier

Monopoly has dice and cards, chess does not = chess easier

Monopoly has resource management, chess does not = chess easier.

Etc.

Perhaps she is better than you think. Gear can be a major contributor to being average and being superb. She is on an even playing field now. Congratulate her and make her a nice candle light dinner, she may kill you next. o.O
