Originally posted by korent1991 Yeah, I meant character progression. All the content in the world doesn't matter if the game has no character progression. A shallow game with tons of content. Not for me. I just expect more in a mmorpg than straight combat. |

Originally posted by OldManFunk Careful now, we've been here countless times before, GW2 will not in any way end WoW. WoW is still a decent game and will rein supreme for a few more years to come. I'll be playing both and there's nothing wrong with that. |

I tend to lean more towards this opinion...I like the Game...I think it will fill in well when I'm bored...But my Guild is split 50/50 on it...50% are very exited...The other 50% are looking forward to Rohan much more... I kind of use my Guild as my own Focus Group...Everyone in this Guild was REAL pumped for SWTOR after Beta testing it...And 9 Months later only 3 are left playing it...The excitement I see for GW2, after Beta testing, is no where near what SWTOR was...So I'm guessing that in the end GW2 's impact will be a little better than say...RIFT...The F2P will help a lot...But I don't think this title will live up to the hype either...We'll see soon enough... |

Originally posted by clumsytoes44 I agree with your statement as a whole, just wanted to add a bit.... Content alone means nothing...RELEVANT content is everything, nothing in WoW except for the latest batch of raids/5-mans is relevant due to the way it's designed. Every single bit of GW2 will be as relevant at 80 as it is at any level. |

I am not totally sure what to think about GW2. IMHO, it might be the " Wii " of MMORPGs. It has enough quality to be considered good, but is too much of a WOW clone to be considered great. However, it only costs players $60 to join. Overall I think the game will be a win for gamers, but investors will consider it a failure, since after the intial box sales it's preformance will be dismal.

Originally posted by gieger808 lol, Game stop loved seeing me coming today pre paying for 2 copies plus strategy guide. This game is good, it's F2P so ....all those kids who's mom won't buy them WoW b/c it requires a credit card (well says it on the box) will have GW2 to play. On a side note.. us gamers' hobbie should have a tax deduciton as exensive as it is, and as many times we get burnt. |
