Can anyone say why anyone would have to 'choose'? I don't get it. I like KPop so I listen to various KPop artists (Gangam Style FTW). I don't 'choose', why would I? Doesn't make sense. :(
Is it like the old 'Xbox vs PS' cause that made little sense too. Wonder why there seems to be more haters on the internet? Read this by an actual marketing guy to find out why. |

Originally posted by wungun I decided to not get D3 and wait for TL2 instead, I just don´t like that D3 decided to put a MMO focus on gear and the RMT itemshop. So TL2 seems to be best for me, the rest of you have to decide for yourself though. |

there's also Drakensang Online It's challenging It's free It can be played from any computer via browser It's fun It's actually a MULTIPLAYER game first, hack and slash second, so I would say it's a lot more fun than either of those two |

Good Morning,
Diablo 3: costs $60. Classes are great though they need some balancing(Witch Doctor I'm looking at you). I don't like how you can't skip quests, and there is not much if any randomness to the maps. Also the Auction house killed it for me. You don't find loot in Diablo 3, Loot in Diablo 3 finds you. No but in all seriousness the auction house just kind of makes it hard to find gear beause they tweak the gear drop ratio so you have virutaually no choice but to go to the auction house. It's a profit thing for them.
Torch Light 2: Cost $20. Classes are name wise neat although I think they need to update them a bit in comparison. That being said they are updating the skills lol so perhaps nevermind with this comment. I know they were doing a skill tree revamp as well as adding interesting skills. Its traditional like diablo 2 etc. From the classes I played I like it better in conjunction with the world. The maps are random and there are more of everthing in comparison to Torch LIght 1. No Auction house, and you can still group with friends. TL2 has a mod editor so you know there will be added content and classes incoming. Even I am going to make a dungeon/story with gear and such. So I'm looking forward to that.
Path of Exile: Free to play: I think they will make their money off of micro transactions. Right now the game is on point (means its really good). I like the grittyness of it. The monsters tend to get a bit hard around level 20ish. Also You should check out the skill...map, road, maze, bible, tree, river, universe or whatever you want to call it. Things is just ridiculously big. At first it was daunting to look at but it kind of forces you to choose carefully which place to put your points. You get a point refund here and there but not enough to just put points anywhere all willy nilly. I usually accumulate around 10pts or so before I place them. They have a barter system in game...much like th world used to be in that you trade objects for gear. Like your identity scrolls...called wisdom scrolls in the game for gear. They have maps I think that are drops on the ground at higher levels that give randomness to your maps, and you can upgrade the maps to make them harder for replay value.
So yeah...
Having played D3 the most, followed by Path of Exile and then Torchlight 2 I would say.
1. POE 2. Torchlight 2 3. Diablo 3
The other two cost less and offer way more. D3 only has the character classes going for it. If I can make a great pet class in TL2 or POe then I'm not sure what to say about D3.
Oh one other point D3 is coming out with a patch here soon to address a lot of issues with the classes. So I'd say check that out as well as POE, and TL2 to give yourself an understanding of what your looking for.

They are both enjoyable games.
I would recommend playing D3 now then TL2 once it is released. |
