Open pvp is far from dead.. DayZ just proves that.. over a million players have jumped onto this mod and most brought ARMA II just for this..

Infact its so popular they are now making a stand alone game..

Most people tend to play in groups so you usually get groups of people going around looking for gear and pvp.. You get lone snipers now and then but its mostly peopel playing with their gaming clans :)

Its worth picking up if you enjoy this type of PVP.

I dont get that artifacting stuff tho..

There are issues, the mod can be very buggy on times, remember its still in alpha so patches are pushed out that sometimes brake a lot of things. Game looks pretty good with everything maxed out but you need a decent system to do that. The characters controls can feel clunky but its mainly because its based off ARMA II and thats basically a military sim so they didnt want to have modern arcade style fps feel to it.. There are retards out there that use hacks as much as possible, i guess its the same with msot fps games why they do it i dont know as I can see hacknig as fun.. anyway if you can get past that then the game is awesome fun :)

The problem isn't open PVP it's that the world is full of obnoxious little Aholes with no personal code of honor.
