The only time hate should brew is when the developer themselves lies about features in the game, or releases are crap product too early (which is usually ALWAYS the case). Neither of these feel true for GW2, at least from what I have seen so far.
This isn't the developers building up the game, it is the fans. It is all fan generated, not BS dev posts lying about how awesome some things are. That is the difference here.
As far as I can tell, the haters are already here. I could care less when people rage about whatever ... I am going to play the game for what it is, and stop when I am not enjoying myself ... like every other game in the history of time. Nothing can hold your attention forever, at least not in the gaming world.
That is just how it is. Super Mario Bros. on the NES was my first game, and I don't play that anymore. A game was never meant to hold someone's attention indefinitely. I do think I will enjoy GW2 for at least 2-3 months though, hopefully more. We'll see how it goes! |

Mostly I dont listen to people on forums I find out for my self. |

Well, for someone just looking to kick up a dust storm, you are probably correct, but as for me, I would read it. I was one of those who were concerned about reading Cash Shop related buffs working in WvW, but likewise, I was satisfied when that turned out to be fixed in time for the stress test. If the conversation turned "Tit-for-Tat", and I've stopped posting, Consider it your win. |

Was this thread really neccessary? The OP did NOTHING to dicsuss the game,he just made a thread to basically in a lame attempt to tell everyone that doesn't like GW2 is a HAter.I am surprised he didn't throw in the term Troll as well. Here is the OP's basis on GW2 being great.... OP you do know it is agaisnt the forum rules to propogate hate threads with the purpose to portray a one way view point? http://www.youtube.com/user/Napolianboo#p/u/15/rCYLLQCNc1w |

GW2 already has haters, more than enough of them. As for people basing their opinions off of forum posts, conjecture, and 'hype', there's no real cure for stupidity. It's also not a developer's job to fix the public from being moronic. Honestly (and I don't think I'm alone on this), but the majority of the 'hype' I see for GW2 has been warranted. I would say that overall it's not an over-hyped game. Yes, there are some people making stupid outrageous claims, but they are on both sides (fanboys and haters), and you have them in every game. I've also seen more than enough posts and threads with VALID criticism about the game, along with suggestions for how to handle it. That is the really important thing a lot of people are overlooking. Blind fanboyism is bad, I absolutely agree. However, what Anet has done is create a community around them that not only loves GW, but is also highly active in trying to help Anet improve their own game. It's a win win scenario, tbh, and I don't really see how the game can suffer from such a relationship. As long as Anet remains active in listening to player feedback and implementing changes, the game will continue to grow and improve as time goes on. |
