i voted hell no to see the results. but if it looked fairly non-linear and had an interesting feature list i would probably get it regardless of what payment model it had. provided it wasn't some p2w f2p thing obviously.. just because i think it would be kind of a big deal and worth checking out.. |

A qualified yes. It would be contingent upon who is making it, whether they're making it more like Pre-CU or NGE, etc.

YES YES I loved SWG . I had some problems with is early on. I quit for some time but I gave it a 2nd try the last 2 years and it was so much fun i played till it ended. I would Pay for a good sand box SWG that does not hold your hand like way to many MMos do now. |

Pre-CU/NGE...yea I guess. I admit I was playing other things/DAoC/EQ at the time, but the month or so I did play it I did enjoy. Subscription based only probably, for the reasons already stated. |

I expect to be playing Pre-CU SWG again within a year. I don't know why all the doom and gloom. |

If a SWG 2 used the same pre-CU model, which would mean the same "game breaking" issues, then NO.. I wouldn't put a dime in it.. I left shortly after post CU because that patch was suppose to be the cure to many critical flaws.. Those issues were not addressed to my liking, so I canceled along with most of the guild I was in.. Great idea, but SWG had too many problems from start to finish.. and SWTOR is worse..

Making a game free does nothing to fix the issues with the overall design flaws. SWG2, if done the way the first one is done, would probably bring in very few supporters in that it would be the most like a Sandbox game any large IP has ever had and sandbox players are a niche sorry guys. Also, if they got EA involved in SWG2 people would avoid it like a plague at this point considering the history. EA is not Blizzard in the terms of popularity. |

SWG 2.0? No.
By the time it opened, it would be a storyline quest grinder with cut-scenes and optimized for single player experience. I'd rather play an MMORPG. |

Would never play sandbox game like SWG with freemium, f2p, rmah or any soft of CS. SoE is freemium now.

The original SWG was great but had lots of problems which would of been fixed if they hadent gone and changed the game to something totaly differant ( which was also a very good game ) . Today if you made SWG the same as sony made it then it would be a total flop because we require more from a game than we did back then. I dont belive we need a swg2 that is based arround star wars and i have great hope for repopalation as long as they dont sell out to the likes of EA. |

No. I would have to know more than the name to commit to anything.

Making a cash shop in a Sandbox enviroment hurts more than it helps, using a player based economy is the best way to do it. when everything in the game is player made you create a new role for players. buisnessmen, some people really enjoy the role of being obsenely rich. If there is something to be taken from the late Face of Mankind it is its economy, Look into you and you will see it for the work of beauty it really is.
Because i can. |

Yes as long as it was the sandbox that pre-cu was but built on a good engine. If I could play SWG with real Collision Detection, Jumping and updated graphics....dam. Also no cash shop as SWG's player crafted items would be negatively affected.

How about they just make a real follow up to the SWKOTOR franchise and stick with a single player game with some multiplayer elements, get away from the MMO scene altogether. I would buy that, eventually.
