I love how people whine about GROUND TEXTURES!!!!
REALLY?? How much time are you REALLY going to spend looking at the ground instead of playing the game?!? " Well I dunno about that patch of grass right there whineyforumpostermcgee... It just looks TERRIBLE!! " lmao
Go code layer and texture your own game with AMAZING I CAN SEE EACH GRAIN OF SAND AND ITS INDIVIDUALITY then!

only see a few complaints on this topic.. ground and things like trees and plants are pretty crappy in the texture department but everything else looks great and the world overall blends so well it isn't that noticable anyway.
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg |

"ooooooh people are critising the game I like, it makes me rage" Does this really warrant a thread? People have a right to be as critical as they like |

I don't really notice the ground textures much. But I do hope they get tessellation in the game at some point, would be a nice bonus.

This is the first I have actually read of any complaints. I think everything is amazing myself.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not. |

The graphics aren't bad at all. I like the environment they have built and it is very stylistic. It isn't anywhere near AOC, but it does have it's own style.

There's honestly too many people that expect GW2 to be a mix of Crysis, WoW and whatever other game they like.
I found literally people that didn't actually play during the stress test and only theorycrafted builds for PvP and then went on to rage to forums about how the class they like was nerfed, or people that spend over one hour in chats telling that the game didn't run at over 80 fps so it's a piss of crap, and so on...
Some people simply use MMOs to whine, i try to ignore them. |

Graphics are fine to me. The more you put in graphically the more computer you need so it's all a trade off. In my experience so far the game looks and runs great, minus the last stress test that is.

I liked MMOs better when gamers didn't play them, and just geeks did. |

GW2's graphics are passable. Meaning, they are fine, but nothing special. Performance-wise, the game runs like butter on max settings for me, and that's more important IMO.
Playing: GW2 and DayZ

people will always find things to complain about because they use the game they think is #1 to them as a benchmark to compare new games. tbh, i turn off map chat and stick to local, if anyone needs help in my area, I don't mind explaining things there.

Originally posted by DaezAster This may actually turn out to be an issue for them. One of the big reasons WoW was so successful is that it ran on very low end machines. GW2 takes a mid grade machine to be playable at decent settings. I think that a lot of the non traditional PC players who only play WoW on the PC and play the rest of their games on a console will be upset when this doesn't perform like WoW did. With the economy the way it is, upgrading is probably not an option for a lot of those people. |

Can't find the others due to the user submitted screenshot gallery being a giant clusterfk, but I can recall a couple more having similar comments. |

Yea they're actually pretty bad. Grass and bushes seem to take a while to render even thought I use a high end card and processor. But it hasn't even been released yet so eh.
