People are like trees, they fall when you hit them with an AXE! |

i kinda agree with the movement and the boring combat and the animations. the movement feels abit stale for me. and the combat is like wow pretty mutch but without the autoclicks, instead you have to spam buttons to "auto attack". the thing i really dont get with GW2 is that people say you have to aim and shit.. but you dont, you just have to face your target and be in range.. just like wow combat.. it might feel like you actually aiming but all you are doing is looking at them and spamming buttons.. im hoping and i will try hard to make this game fun since im so bored right now WvWvW was kinda fun. i like siege combat and in the beta i had some fun in WvWvW but the "fun" was building cannons and shit.. the actual "player vs player" is still the boring "nothing happends combat" where you fight a guy. get almoste nothing for killing him (some pvp points) and if u die u lose nothing but 10-1min time because u ahve to run back.. i will say this again after playing darkfall, eve or mortal online or some other full loot games you cant have fun in pvp in normal hotkey mmos, thats a fact! www.Twitch.tv/Exzear |

The skill restrictions is a big mistake imo, but otherwise, i played BWE 2, BWE3 and very short time in today's stress test. First, the tech who kept unplugging their router needs to be strung up. Power testing and stress testing are two totally different things.
I am more than mildly depressed they completely ruined the mesmer. I am really happy there are no unkillable monk classes in this round. WvW YEAH!!! Grew tired quickly of the team only match modes. WvW for the break, though that has it's own issues. I didn't notice any graphics improvement but I was getting 50 fps in each beta session anyway. Might be because I don't go into pvp with my graphics all maxed out. All that glow and crap just makes your enemy load slower meaning they see you before you see them. |

Originally posted by Nitth No it's not. One hour doesn't even get you out of the first zone where the most basic of basic events happen. This goes for any game unless it's a copy of something and might get a feel but only a lukewarm feel at best. And really, why should we care about some nobody posting their worthless reveiw? These "reveiws" are getting tiresome. Your no game expert so don't try to play off like you are. Post you "reveiw" on metacritic or amazon and stop cluttering up forums with these worthless threads. |

If you came to that conclusion after an hour of tsw your opinion still has merit. "This game is bad", is only perception, Some people may well really dig it others not so much. Obscene is when you start making direct comparisons like 'gw2 is better than wow'. |

Don't be silly. By one hour you would of had enough time to test each of the games systems in there very basic forms, Tested races and sampled other starting areas. Games dont usually change from there fundamentals. Only expand. You should know by the end of that if this game is something you would like to play.
Lets fast forward 100 hours, What would you be doing then which would be drasticly different to what you were doing within that first hour? You would still be killing mobs |

Your opinion of a game after one hour has very little merit. I don't know any mmo where you can even begin to experience the game in only the first hour. I think some people come up with these threads because they like to argue or something.

Originally posted by Nitth Well, here it is. A person defending the idea that a one hour review is perfectly acceptable for reviewing an MMORPG.
I strongly disagree. SWTOR is the greatest mmo ever! |

No, i simply mean to say that a 1 hour 'review' has its merit, Putting it in the same box a professional 'full' review I don't agree with. From the 1 hour he played, he could extrapolate enough information to make a personal review just not in depth. |

I would say that a One hour of playtime is more than enough for preliminary impressions. I just prefer more substance less "this is just terrible but I wont say why I think this it just is deal with it" lines of thought.

You don't need 1000 hours to write about things you experienced in a game... he wrote about things he EXPERIENCED HIMSELF... note how he didn't write about hings he didn't experience.

Why are people attacking the OP with such bile. It's not like he made a thread called "my in-depth review" then just stated "I played for one hour, game is bad trololol". As advertised by the thread name, he gave his impression on the game over his 1 hour of play. He even gave good reasoning for his opinions on certain points he liked or disliked.

Very basic form isn't a proper evaluation and sure as hell not informed enough to write a reveiw. Do you evaluate WoW solely based in you little started town or whatever where your stick killing some kobalds and bandits? Hell no, it's evaluated much later in game when you've got full access to talent trees, dungeons, raids, lvl cap PvP zones ect ect. 1 hour game play gives you a first impression and thats it which isn't anywhere near the real picture. Yes you can get a real basic vibe hence my lukewarm feel comment you quoted but in no shape or form is it substantial to be any sort of a valid review like this OP felt he had to make a thread for. |

Would you merit a review of my playing WoW for 1 hour? TSW for 1 hour? D3 for 1 hour? No. You wouldn't and you know it. Having opinions are one thing. Drawing wild conclusions are another. Play for fun. Play to win. Play for perfection. Play with friends. Play in another world. Why do you play? |
