Trust in a company that made a theme park weekend getaway ? No thanks. Go take a look at mmos like UO, DAOC and FFXI. MMOs like these made players love mmos.

Originally posted by gessekai332 Sry, but thats naive, maybe you didnt notice it yet, but all the gw2 money come from NCSOFT, and they are even worse than EA, if a game dont work they just shut it down, it wont happen with GW2 i know, but you need to undestand that NCSOFT want money and if after the 1st Month they dont get what they want, they will sell us more thing in the CS, did you remeber skills packs from gw1? . Like it or not, NCSOFT will have the last word on everything about GW2, so be ready to wait 6 months or a year for the 1st content update in gw2. |

Originally posted by Kyleran This! I think the OP is assigning way too much thought into it for most players. Most people just want to play a fun game. If the game is fun and well made they'll play, If it's bug ridden and boring they won't. I played SWTOR and Diablo 3. I was disappointed by SWTOR, but I didn't feel my trust was violated. If Bioware ends up making another game and it's fun I"ll play it. The same applies to D3. I played it and actually enjoyed it for what it was. Once I had enough I stopped playing. I'll play another Blizzard game as along as it's fun. |

Originally posted by Distopia IMO, the endgame is still part of the journey... Until you defeated the Uber boss of the patch/xpac you haven't reached the final destination. |

Originally posted by Badaboom You, and those like you, are the vocal minority. You may see the hundreds, or even thousands, of message posts, twitter rants or blog posts about disgruntled fans and feel that Blizzard has betrayed everyone and Blizzard will fall because of it, but you're wrong. For every one of you ranting about how bad D3 was there are hundreds who played it, enjoyed it and left it at that. For them it was a game, they played and when they were done they moved on. They didn't assign some deep seeded hatred to Blizzard. Heck, D3 has sold what, 10 million copies?!?! I'm pretty sure Blizzrd has plenty of people ready to line up for their next offering. |

Originally posted by Grimlock426 Like I said, D3 pissed off a lot of people. D3 has sold 10 million, you are correct, but if they ever release a D4 (i'm guessing no) then I guarantee Blizz doesn't get 50% this number. Feel free to bookmark this post. The thing is though, I feel that D3 was just a benchmark for a RMAH for Titan, and am guessing that Titan will contain the same fail. |

It won't topple it, but how are those wow players going to feel finally looking over the fence at a game that us bigger and better :). Winter of discontent me thinks.
rpg/mmorg history: Bloodwych>Bards Tale 1-3>Eye of the beholder > Might and Magic 2,3,5 > FFVII> Baldur's Gate 1, 2 > Planescape Torment >Morrowind > WOW (9500 hrs on main mage)> oblivion > LOTR (480 Hunter) > Rift (230 hours mage) > Guild Wars (1900hrs elementalist) Vanguard. > GW2(350 elementalist) Now playing GW2/Diablo 3/Rift Waiting Archeage. |

Originally posted by gessekai332 I would change the sentence "What players want..." to "What I want..." or at least "What some players want if you know at least one more person that shares your thoughts". Generalization in this case does not apply, in my opinion. In fact, I am a player and your theory does not apply to me, so that it ultimately is a fallacy the way it is composed. "With all the wow clones and console-style themepark games...". I have not seen more console-style themepark game than GW 2 in a very long time. "And maybe even topple" the eight year old game. Not very ambitious, yet still unrealistic, in my opinion. You take gaming much more seriously than I do. Considering spending 50 bucks and some time playing a PC game an investment...

Originally posted by jusomdude Hmm, not sure how you came to that conclusion, considering the single-player comment I'd have assumed the player didn't play to beat on any type of mob at all. Weakling mobs? I think the biggest boss in wow can fit in the mouth of the biggest boss in gw2 and can take on a hundred players :)

Randy confirmed that they have ‘lined up’ with Vasco to explore the various security options they have to offer. If and what kind of security measures they will eventually implement though are not yet determined.
