Originally posted by cloud8521 1) Storage is actually fine for me even I'm gathering lots of materials for crafting. Why? Cause you can immediately buy 4 slot bags from an npc and even can get some through quests (I think I got one as a drop aswell but not sure anymore). That's 12 slots to your main bags additionaly. After you learned crafting you can immediately craft 8 slot bags which means 3x8 = 24, plus the amount your main bag gives you which is plenty. Then you have your bank storage, guild bank if you join a guild that unlocked it (I know I will unlock my guilds asap). Gathering tools doesn't take you any bag space cause they are having their own slots on the character and can get equipped there with a double click on them (or just drag them to their slots). You can also sell stuff you don't need to npcs or place them at the market (no matter where you are in the world, just open the auction, place the item and the price and you are done!). 2) Classes are a matter of taste so you need to specify what you didn't like so people can reply upon this. Saying that they all are "bad" or something says nothing. 3) Some focus can be also used as main weapons and vice versa(Yeah I know its the same ;p ) so diversity is there already. I'm sure that overtime more things will come but for now the game has already plenty things to work with so I wouldn't say it "lacks" on that aspect. 4) Like others mentioned there are also dynamic events in WvsWvsW. I know my team and I went to take a supply depot and it turns out it was infested with Centaurs that let no one near there so we got to do the event and get rid of them so we can have the supply for our forces. As another poster said, there are also npc factions that you can persuade by helping them so they will assist your side by attacking your opponents. There are also wild creatures lurking around in the areas that attacking everyone and more so the danger is everwhere in there and there is always something to do. At least that was the experience I made. |

I completely disagree on the storage. Actually GW2 give you more storage than most p2p games. With bags easily available, "sell junk" and "deposit craft materials" it's really hard to fill up the inventory. |

Originally posted by cloud8521 1. Just curious, and didn't bother to read every post after this one so if someone covered it Excuse me. Were you aware that any crafting materials could be sent to your bank by right-clicking them and selecting "send to collection"? A lot of people in beta have not known that...but once you figure it out it saves a LOT of bag space. I never ran out after that. Also keep in mind if you do any crafting, 8 slot bags are VERY easy to come by.
2. Examples? Curious to see what ones bothered you. I would agree some profession-specific mechanics (Steal, Shatter) need work.
3. Think this is a YMMV thing. I felt like there was enough variety in attacks, esp once you take all the utility skills and weapon swapping into account. But I've heard both sides.
5. I like the barricade idea. Be a nice way to mess with choke points. And being able to set up your own could help deal with runners coming back from death. Keeps can be upgraded, but there's no event. Not sure I'd want there to be one. |

Originally posted by cloud8521 Didn't notice storage because I didn't do a whole lot of pve after the first weekend, will pay attention on release.
What classes felt off for you? I actually partially have something similar. Mesmer was a dissapointment in the first beta but after using it for a bit it grew on me, but necro was vastly different from what I expected.
The reason they have limited amount of skills based on weapons is for pvp balance. Thats also why they removed the dual class mechanic from gw1.
I think you can buy upgrades for the keeps, the roadblock is a nice idea though. |

Originally posted by terrant 1. Not any, lots of materials cant be sent like vials of blood . 2. Steal does not have the deapth i would like, being used to become a 1 use attack is ok, but i dont feel like there is enough deapth there. Warrior's is also ok, but it feels like it just got a glorified extra attack. i dont know many people that will ever use it before it gets full, sure warrior gets the most weapons but that does not ammount to much when you can only carry 2 at a time. Engineer is great, weapon packs as secondary skills is genius. Elementlist is fun with attunements ammounting to diffrent elements, Guardian i cant say as i never got a chance wtih one. necro is just plain fun to play. mesmer with its shatter illusion looks cool but i never used it (but was far too easy to avoid and see). Rangers jsut sucks.... but thats not because its design, i love the pet system i just dont like how it handles, the ai is a little bad the pet dies far to easily (and is nearly uncontrolable). so i guess i jsut feel like warrior and theif need some looking at. (cant say much for guardian and some others which i didnt get much into yet) ranger just needs the pet system tweeked so the pert is A smarter or B easier to control.
3. i know what you mean here, but i would like to see variations inside the wepon types. such as if the weapon is on fire like the Firey Dragon sword it would have a diffrent skillset that matches its flame attribute.
4. the keeps thing was just the science i was throwing at the wall to show events can be put in more to enchance the gamemode more then disrupt it meaninglessly.
Edit: ive been thinking it over. and upgrades can go past what you can pay for in WvWvW. but this is still me throwing science |

I understand the bank storage complaint. There are only 30 slots per account. If I want 2 extra sets of armor (different specs) for 2 characters, the bank is way too small to accomodate that at this point.
6 accesories 6 armor slots 2 - 4 weapon slots
14 - 16 slots per set
My hope was that housing would help remedy this by allowing you to put down displays and put your sets on those. We'll see though. SWTOR is the greatest mmo ever! |

1. Disagree. Looks small at first, that's true, but between breaking down drops for materials (like in GW, ALWAYS carry a salvage kit) and being able to send them to bank from anywhere I never found myself without bag space in the betas. Also seeing the max size that the crafted bags can be (IIRC almost all crafting proffesions can make one) I don't think it'll be such a big problem. 2. Disagree. Not all classes are for everyone, but so far haven't seen any class that nobody plans on playing on release. 3. Agree. I like the idea of skills tied to weapons, but I'd like more weapon styles. However, it is something I can see adding on expansions (maybe dervishes with scythes, for example). 4. Partially agree. I'd like to see more complex events than what I saw on WvW, but I don't think they should give things like roadblocks or keep upgrades. In any case I'd prefer more complex events, but with the same style of rewards (NPC fighters, the weather orb that can zap lightning or healing rain and things like that). What can men do against such reckless hate? |

Originally posted by cloud8521 1. Vials absolutely can be. Any CRAFTED materials (like, if you turned some tin into the backplate for a shield) cannot. But the tin itself can be. Basically, once you work a material on the crafting table, it cannot be sent. The only other exception are certian rare pieces like Destroyer slivers. 2. I will agree 100% about Steal. I'd really love for it to replace your normal attack bar, like a bundle. I think it would work better. warrior adrenaline isn't the most exciting mechanic in the world, since it's basically a mesh of combo points and rage bars. But it works at least. 3. I can see your point, but balancing all that crap...oh my god. 4. I like some of your idea for WvW...I really think you should submit it to Anet when the forums come back up. I know they're looking to add more small group/solo objectives....maybe those could be some? Stopping runners in the field is something WvW groups aren't doing well enough right now, and it contributes to the length of some seiges. That and idiots trying to zerg auto attack the walls without thinking. |

No problem with storage space, but I do agree (as I'm sure most of us do) with the respawn rate on a few locations/mobs. I doubt it is meant to be that fast, and will hopefully be fixed.

I know what you mean, I had a difficult time deciding on an alt. However this seems to be more of a case of different mechanics/styles appealing to different people. The best thing to do is just to try them out in the spvp lobby, to see if they mesh well for you. 3. Some people like this, others don't. Hopefully gameplay can offer enough variation via different AI patterns and the bundle system to make this more enjoyable for some people. 4. WvW PvE events are scarce, and are focused around keeps or skill point locations. Not much I can say here, the focus is on territory control more so than events. Again, that's preference, but this is the kind of thing you can suggest to A-Net. |

All non-intermediate crafting materials could be sent directly to storage with one click, including vials of blood. This worked in BWE2, and in BWE3 they added an option to send every crafting material directly to storage instead of sending them one by one. If you couldn't send vials of blood and other such materials to bank, I'd suspect a bug. If it had a dedicated slot in storage, you could send it to storage from anywhere in the world.
Intermediate crafting materials do not have a storage tab, and therefore cannot be sent to storage. These include items like different gemstones placed in settings (Adorned Jewels was it?), emblems/insignias, armor patterns, etc. So yes, these do take up some space, but you can always refrain from making them until you actually need them. |
