It have actually been worrying quiet about this game lately, people were really hyped up when it was in beta this winter and early spring but since then almost nothing.... I wish this site could find someone that speaks Korean and have him or her make a review of it and tell us how the game actually is doing. it is surely one of the games I really would want more information about together with WoDO and Class 4. |

I think people need to stop pidgeonholing games, over-hyping and just allow them to become.
If it only cost 50 moillion then there will be somethings not developed fully, many compromises, and some things that are OK. 50 million is not lot of money for games any more, with all the computer power needed to render them, code them, etc. |

Originally posted by Loke666 From what ive recently read about people in the closed beta: A pvp criminal and staling system. You leave blood in murder of fellow faction players and footprints when stealing from them, both can be turned in but im not sure what happens after that, mention of consumables such as a broom to conceal crime and "finger print powder" used to unconceal the crime, probably cash shop items. Theres a jail as well. No penalty for ganking other faction. Instanced seiges and instanced battlegrounds. Themepark quests.
I see theres some minor glitches and only 30% of the game world is open, which leaves a lot of room for more beta or issues down the road. Oh and the skill system works based off your level. You apparently can swap any of the 3 skill trees which define your class for a cost, however how many skills you have access to is determined by your level.
Like i just said, ill play this game simply for the guild vs guild territory war and seiges, theres no other endgame mechanic i like more than that and recent games seem to ignore it. It certainly doesnt look like a sandbox however. Just because theres player housing and ability to build stuff doesnt mean its a sandbox. Still has levels quests a storyline instanced pvp and other themepark rides. None of that stuff is a bad thing, however, this is NOT a sandbox. You going to be dissapointed when you get in game and see a bunch of npc's with question marks over their head who all need 15 mob tails.
Either way ill be playing though. |

Originally posted by coretex666 Hmm,i'm a huge fan of AA but saying it seems to be the only post MMO with depth is wrong. It's an hybrid mmo which is not alone in the depth department, seems hybrid is the way to go. Oh, and did i mention that Vanguard has plenty of depth as well,it's also an hybrid mmo. |

Oh,and if mmorpg.com actually took the time to follow the biggest gaming convention on the planet they could get little snippits like this. Guess if it aint western then why bother mmorpg.com.. http://gamexpedition.com/showthread.php?96-Press-conference-ArcheAge-ChinaJoy-2012 |

Originally posted by Xzen So far what I'm hearing it seems more along the lines of a themepark/sandbox hybrid, and less of a "pure" sandbox when compared to titles such as UO Doesn't make it bad, but expect some folks to reject your definition if it is missing some of the features they think every sandbox must have.

Originally posted by Kyleran From what I have seen no the trees do not grow back unless you plant more. The third continent does have resources that people will be fighting for in open world PvP. I guess you could say it's a hybrid because it does also have themepark questing. |

Originally posted by Xzen It has quests, it has a storyline. It has instanced pvp It has instanced seiges It has levels It has classes
Not sure if it has instanced dungeons and raids but im sure it does.
Dont mislead people they are getting a free and open sandbox because they can chop trees and build a house.
Again not trashing the game ill be playing but dont call it a sandbox JUST because you can build something. |
