Which servers do you folks feel will have the best competition and higher pops of pvp focused players/guilds? I dont need to be on the best server but I certainly want to be in one of the best clusters (with servers rotating every 2 weeks). Fact of the matter is after a couple months of the servers balacing the level of competitive pvp on the better servers will be much different than the low clusters. Servers that are getting rolled get matched up against other servers that have not performed well (whether due to lack of participation or poor player skills). On the other hand the top servers that end up facing each other regularly will develope much better players/guilds, the competiiton level will be much higher and more players will be participating at all hours. Which servers do you guys feel have already established the higher end communities?
Disclaimer: I have a few RL friends who will be rolling with me and they are not into the competitive scene so transfers down the line would not be an option for them. Where I select during EA will most likely be my home forever. Guild Wars 2 |

We don't have a complete server list for launch yet so a lot of people haven't claimed anything yet.

Darkhaven has been consistantly the highest scoring server in WvW through out beta, and will probably carry through to launch because the communities have established themselves to some degree already. Sea of Sorrows is a consistantly great one too.

Impossible to say, even after launch it will probably take a few months to see which servers are doing well and which arent, at least in the whole pvp league thing, not that it matters that much, i believe you can move servers anyway.

Darkhaven roflstomped everyone. They will probably be ranked number 1 for a quite some time after launch. Darkhaven is the Reddit server. 4chan is going to Anvil Rock.

Originally posted by Saxx0n That was a weird BWE. I was on FA and while I personally wasn't doing a WHOLE lot of WvW, I was aware we were paired with GoM two times consecutively (and then again at the stress test). And we destroyed you guys the first time. I wonder what changed from Saturday to Sunday.

Joining a competitive guild or alliance and rolling on the server they select is really the only way to ensure you have like minded people to play with. |

I dont think people will want to join the so called hardcore PvP servers, as you might be in queue all night to enter the WvWvW playgrounds.
But then people dont know what they want, so all so called hardcore PvP players please join the same server, so you can start complaining right from the start. Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) |

I think its more what server you enjoy playing on, eventually everything will balance down someway or another. At the beginning of these WvW i think its all about which side has the most resources to burn or $$$.

These will also be servers with miserablly long wait times for WVW. Keep that in mind.

actually you cannot tell yet which server will be the most competitve until launch. if you based it during bwes, there were several servers. bottom line is all the servers will be competitve after launch.
lets say you joined server 1 and matched up against server 2 and 3 server 2 is winning youre gonna think server 2 is dominating.
then this guy is in server 4 and matched up against server 5 and 6 server 4 is winning, same thing theyl think.
so you cant really tell if your server is the best because you dont get to fight all the servers alteast yet, who knows.
