So in which category you belong? Those who will buy the game as soon as avaliable or those who will wait prior to making a decision. You are welcome to tell us more about the reason behind your decision.

A fourth option "I've already preordered" would've been nice. Better results if the poll was "targeting" those who haven't preordered. Now everyone who pre-ordered will pick the first option making the poll rather useless

Originally posted by seridan Nope, I already thought about that, but preordered is same as playing the game as soon as avaliable. |

I think this type of thread/poll has popped up several times over the past few months on random sites. The bottom line to this is that GW2 isn't your typical p2p mmo where players don't want to get invested into the game, signing up for a sub and hoping that it can entertain. All of us can buy this game right away for no more than around $60 and play it whenever we want --- for as long as the game is live. I really don't see a reason to not buy it right away unless you're SO cheap/broke that you want to wait for the base GW2 price to drop.

Well I know people that did pre-order and a lot of them wish they had not done it. The game looks much more impressive in various reviews and previews than it does when you actually play it. Just another of many MMOs, the so called inovations are just not there.

You should ask this on a general gamers forum, and not on mmorpg.com as this board is filled with earlly adapters

Originally posted by Lord.Bachus I certanly considered that, but unfortunately the general MMORPG forum is about things that are in general about MMORPG's. This thread is focused directly at one specific MMORPG, GW2. And then again many who are not interested about GW2, but want to get some extra info come by here just for that. |

I will be attempting to log in at least one hour before the game officially launches and will continually attempt to log in until the servers finally fire up.
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick. |

GW2 will be best enjoyed after the first few months and the hype has died off, along with the mindless zerg. DE that make up the majority of GW2 gameplay are extremely boring and mindless when zerged to death but can be very enjoyable with a decent sized group that isn't simply overwhelming the event.
I've played BW3 to 20+ on norn and charr and have no intention of buying the game anytime before it has died down on the over hyping of it's greatness. |
