Blizzard has said there will be 2 expansions after MoP. WoW does look pretty good if you have a good graphics mod and you push the graphics beyond it's limits with that macro but the models still need improvement so it would be nice if the entire game got a graphics over haul. Hopefully this will happen in 2014, the next expansion should come out by then. Everquest has had a graphics redo, WoW should to, they need a more complex character creation system and better graphics along with more realistic player models, especially for humans. |

It also needs more customization. |

Disagree, it looks great cept the old character models they could use a revamp as well as anything built in vanilia and TBC, Wrath and beyond still holds up really good. |

with DX11 support now turning just aaxo on destroys your framerates on a gaming rig. If you upgrade that old engine imagine what its going to do to all the people who still use older laptops and desktops? I have a OC 4.3 6 core processor and 2 6970s in my rig and it crawls at 30 frames per a second out in the world with everything turned on ultra. The game engine is just not designed properly over the years and is why you do not see graphics updates. They say they are adding in new charcter models starting with dwarves then humans orcs etc but I got a feeling thats not going to happen the engine just sucks. |

WoW has actually done a very good job at updating its graphics rather frequently over the years. There was a time when games like FFXI--a game that has never received a single graphics update--looked substantially better than WoW, but now there's simply no comparison. WoW, within the confines of its aesthetic style, has kept up with the times in terms of graphics. You can play a newly released MMO then play WoW and not feel like you've traveled back in time. Character models and character creation options, on the other hand, are horrific. They were barely passable in 2004 and have never once been improved. Virtually every MMO since WoW has blown it out of the water in this regard. |
