According to a series of tweets from John Smedley, the PlanetSide 2 beta will be delayed slightly to give the team more time to "make sure it's awesome". The beta is likely to begin on Friday of this week or Monday of next.

By going by that tweet alone (I know little about this game) it sure makes it look like the beta is definately a marketing stunt instead of a beta.  |
