Ok. Purples i got from jumping from ql8 blues from Egypt into doing all elites and then all nightmares. Then I completed my main question in Trany.
As for the endgame in gw2. I'm looking forward to the game and I know everything there is to know that's been released about endgame. And my firm belief is that it's the game's weakest point. Just like it was swtor's. Pve nerds will leave in droves (well probably continue playing games casually because it's a super fun game) once they reach endgame. Playing for fun is not even close to enough to keep people like me playing games for long. But I think gw2 plans on being the fun alternative to games like wow for many people, and not the main game. Not a problem for gw2 though since they don't rely on subs. |

Originally posted by Zylaxx As with every themepark, everything changes at max level. The story stops and all that remains is gear grind...you think GW2 top end pve will be any different? Guess again. FC have promised significant regular content updates, the first is due any day now, but it remains to be seen if they can deliver, my money is on a fail unfortunately and that'll be that for another great single player co-op game stuffed into a mmorpg box. |

All of transylvania is effectively end game. You are decked out in full QL10 before the end of Egypt.

Originally posted by MattVid Yes you grind dungeons for purple drops. Reminds you of another MMO of similar type? after SWTOR i made a decision that i will never ever end up in this trap of hamster wheel dungeon grind. And that is the reason why i have no interest in TSW's end game. Originally posted by Zinzan GW2 has gear grind now? since when? |

Originally posted by Wickedjelly I think the end game is utterly terrible. Why are people complacent with repeating the same missions over and over again? |

Originally posted by lifeordinary It'll have cosmetic gear grind. For example, getting Legendary weapons will require a lot of time, but they're not more powerful than other lvl 80 weapons stats wise. |

Originally posted by daemon132 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFnrzzpCtUE (Done on July 9th) If you are talking the regional "Aspects" you'd have to be absolutely crazy to go through that grind. Considering it can take days of grinding the same MOBs over and over in a group (finding likeminded people to do that grind is hard enough) just to summon a specific lair boss and you need 9 of them to summon an Aspect, good luck with that. You could just grind Nightmare mode dungeons and be decked out in full purple within a week or less. |

Originally posted by dekou in GW2 content isn't locked because you are not wearing appropriate gear. In GW2 it is optional grind. Sadly TSW is taking same route as WOW for end game. |

Originally posted by Magnum2103 Little issue with having to be attuned first. You must do all the elites and beat the Gatekeeper in order to do nightmares. He insures there are no bad players trying to do nightmares. I'm willing to bet less than 30% of the population has beaten the gate keeper.
Very few guilds have cleared any of the nightmares even less solo players. Matter of fact I do not know of a guild who has cleared them all. There may be a couple.
So there is no just jumping in and doing nightmares for purples. When it comes to challenge TSW is the anti-WoW/GW2 casual game.

Originally posted by Zylaxx Well.. TSW at least has dungeons and gear progression. GW2 has nothing at all.
But ya know, if zerging random mobs that require no skill and yield no reward is what you consider "fun endgame", enjoy GW2.
Good PvE endgame is hard to do. It's why i contiune playing EQ2 even though it's 8 years old and even though for things other than endgame, I've played many better MMOs. Originally posted by bcbully There are plenty of guides available for beating the Gatekeeper in various builds. As for the Nightmare dungeons there are 3 of them and they aren't as difficult as you make them out to be. Once you beat the Gatekeeper it's pretty much freefarming for purples. |

Originally posted by Magnum2103 Guides alone wont do it for you ;) You have to be able to do it. The other nightmares are coming in like 3 days. Still only a couple guilds if that many have beaten the 3 that have been there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUC44-saIBg&feature=player_detailpage Those circles 1 shot you btw. Never mind the DPS marks and the purges you need too.
So maybe it's free farming for the 3 guilds that have beaten them. For the other 99% of the population it is not.... Pretty damn difficult if you ask me....
You can say it's not if you like though. DamonVile- Games built for disposable players are now apparently built by disposable employees. |

Originally posted by bcbully I've pugged all the Nightmare dungeons. Plenty more than 3 guilds have done it. The only one that is remotely hard is Darkness Wars. Polaris Nightmare is equivalent to Ankh Elite in difficulty for pete's sake. Gatekeeper is actually the most challenging part of Nightmare, and really it only takes a few hours of practice to get him down. The hardest part of the encounter is having an appropriate build to handle his various abilities and recognizing when to use various abilities (cleanse, interrupts, etc.). |

Originally posted by Magnum2103 Yeah you can't prove that you are one of the 1% who has completed the nightmares, people do pug the first couple bosses. I can't prove you wrong either. So sure w/e. Good job.
A few hours to beat one NPC 1v1? Pretty tough test, and pretty darn cool if you ask me.
I have 80 ability points saved up from farming boss blueprints for a lair boss lastnight with the guild. Off to play. Cya!!

Originally posted by Magnum2103 ^ I would take this guy's offer if I were you. I'm not sure which videos he has in mind, but I can personally attest to PUGing through nightmares without too much trouble. Really, the hardest part of nightmare is 1) finding people that aren't completely retarded and 2) hoping that bosses don't bug out (in a bad way). Furthermore, that post about the gatekeeper, like he's a real challenge, lmfao, quite hilarious. Only one of his modes is even remotely hard, and I think (out of the people I know), I was the one who took the longest (doing Fury), and that was because I didn't watch any guides, as wasn't sure what to expect. Once I knew his mechanics it was easy. I think the whole thing took me around 15-20mins total (including the time when I was planning out new builds on the fly to deal w/ his mechanics). |

I would like to know the total amount of missions in tsw. I have completed like 260 and there aren't much left as far as I can tell. gw2 has 300 hearts let alone 1500 de's that stay relevant and have we forgot alt's will be played by many in gw2 where tsw basically did away with all reasons for alts. There's just much more game with gw2 however you dice it up and it is funner than tsw. I like tsw myself but have to say gw2 is a bigger better game. I play games to have fun and don't see the point in grinding for gear at the end of a game, Imo you should be grinding for gear earlier in the game to use through out the game. The only reason to grind for gear at endgame would be for pvp but everyone doesn't pvp. At the end of the day or should I say last gw2 bwe I had little motivation to even log back in to tsw. Just my oppinion..... |
