I try to be the best, but I don't flaunt it. I often try to make the people I play with better too. Is that arrogant or is that just being helpfull? Suggestions would be something like "You can increase your DPS if you get your gear gemed and enchanted..."

I'd like to propose alternative definitions of confident and arrogant:

Confident players know when they have made a mistake and admit it. Arrogant players never admit their mistakes and try to explain why it wasn't their fault.

Your definition of arrogance isn't very accurate.

Cheating players cheat, not arrogant ones. Some arrogant people don't always lack skill they just think they are better than they are, but could still be more skilled than someone else.

Some arrogant people don't exggerate their own abilities, they just think their actions are more important than other peoples. Many arrogant people excell in all aspects of life and they know it, it's just a socially unacceptale trait to have because others don't like it.

Arrogant people also don't know they are being arrogant.

What you described is pretty much elitism, not arrogance.

By giving your definition and then choosing the most favorable one you've pretty much contradicted yourself.. that's a prime example of real arrogance. By your definitions, you think a confident player, like what you believe yourself to be, is better than an arrogant one <--- Arrogance.

Sorry, you have ytour definitions wrong. An Arrogant player would be a player who considers himmself a confident player and feels a overwhelimg need to go to game forums and create polls just so he can broadcasr how "confident he is".

A tryly confident player would never even be bothered to answer such a poll after all whats he tying to prove he already knows hes good enough no need to bloe his own trumpet.

The average player is reasonably confident in his skills but knows he has a way to go before he can be truly confident that hes got all he needs.

A cheating low life scum player is one who only thinks of himsel and considered cheeting to be the norm.

Me I'm an average player I have some skills but I know i'm lacking in some areas.

I love how people Arrogently judge on this thread. Let me ask you this would a woman perfer a Arrogent man or a confident man? I am confident that she would choose me.

I have no reason to judge people who call me arrogent it is after all just thier arrogent thoughts that come across.

1. Arrogant players do not admit their faults (at least voluntarily)

2. Being arrogant is a fault

3. From 1. and 2. logically follows, that no-one who answers that they're arrogant in this poll is arrogant. Arrogance of those who answer something other to the poll is unkown.
