It IS easier to be sure lol, however not all people coming from WOW are going to suck just like not every UO player or DAOC player will be good. I played WOW for years and that didn't stop me from getting 300 point matches with multiple classes. Then again I have played other mmorpgs. I did play UO but I get a smile across my face every time a UO vet says they will dominate in a modern interface twich based system, when they have been running UO scripts with insta-precasting EZ mode for years      ( and broken UO exploits)  like its something to be proud about.

Anyone who has used a 3d modern interface that played thier previous game with some level of  skill, will be able to adapt, no matter if that game is WOW, AC, L2, DAOC so the unhappy truth is, that Ret Paladin you hate so much will probablly play GW2, immediately spec two handed guardian or warrior  or possibly melee hunter, and you will still hate him.

Wish i could re-sub to WoW for a month but i am so burned out the very thought gives me a twinge in my gut..

I was in beta, I saw the pages and pages of posts begging for the game to be better, only for it to come out hot garbage and to have them say it was our fault because we asked for it. The beta forums said otherwise.

I tried GW1 trial for a day but after playing 2 I just couldn't push through it.

alot of you guys havent tried the new wow 5.0 either this time around and its on PTS now there . IF you thought c/c was bad then wait til you see the c/c now on just about every single class. DKs with 5 second stuns on 1 minute timers now. pally 6 second stuns warrior etc its quite a joke and shows that blizzard is either A on maintanance mode or B they just do not give a crap about what their pvp is like. I tried to level a DK on PTS last night to 58 and it is so painful now with way lower damage and no heart strike plus no rune regeneration its just horrid i logged out in disgust. WOW MOP is by far the biggest failed attempt to reinvent wow yet for the 5th time. Also anyone here saying its their best expansion is obviously into pokemon and no strategy. The only thing it brings back wow vanilla feel is the extream long time it now takes some classes to kill 1 mob because of the entire expansion is about nurfs, pokemon, and panda's . Also one thing that truely drove me nuts, they changed it so all your toons have account wide mount usage yet kept the gold cost per character to buy flying so its still over 10k gold to get your flying up per an old F blizzard and F wow i wish them nothing but the worst after seeing all the crap they changed.

Gotcha.  How long did you beta it for?  I am just asking because it's become a rather "hot topic" around here of people polarizing on either side of a game for no reason other than riling other's up.

WoW is dead to me - but I'd rather PvP on my Rogue than WvW on anything in GW2.

Weill here you can see that WoW has stilll the best PVP. Maybe the PvE is boring couse we played though it tousends times  but PVP wise WoW is still No. 1 of all MMOs aout there. The combat is fast paced, there is great a impact , a good balance and its just fun.

Sure it has no open world pvp, but I think this feature is a relic of the past. I loved it in Doac but today people want fair fights , not zerg fests.

I used to play on a RP-PVP server, and back in the day open world PvP popped up all by itself. It was tons of fun, having a spontaneous battle of 100 Horde vs. 100 Alliance in an open field, just pounding the shit out of each other.

There was no winner, you didn't really get all that much honor or any XP - not to mention no epic purpley loot.

But it was damn fun. More fun than any PvP I've had since.

Yeah. You get a little crazy after a GW2 beta. Just be careful. Don't buy D3 thinking it will hold you over until then. Don't do anything you'll REALLY regret.
