As we all know in GW2 the human god's are silent. At the end of Nightfall we get told it your world now. Skip a few more year's ingame and at the end of EOTN we stop Primordis form waking up. Now we also know Arah is known as the city of the gods, also convienently it was also where Zhaitan slept. So sensing the awakening of the elder dragon's the human gods go into hiding fearing retribution fron Zhaitan for leeching his power to become gods, similar in the way the Asuran leeched power from Primordis to power the asuran gate's.
Anybody else have any thought's on the reason behind the human gods not responding or playing a big role in GW2? |

My theory is the gods created races on Tyria to become a force that will stop the elder dragons on their own. Then the gods will swoop in and vamp further power from the Elder Dragons to increase their own power pool. What tools Tyrians are! |

I think they will play a big role in higher level areas. They can't just be silent. They are constantly mentioned, as if something is going to happen involving them. |

Didn't see them mentioned much during my time in BWE2 & 3, but i didn't play a human chr that much either. :) |

There is no indication whatsoever that the human gods were leeching Zaithans power. Also, they were mostly silent before. With the exception of Kormir becoming a goddess, the construction of a portal to the mists in the new Lion's Arch is actually the biggest thing we ever saw of them, so they are not exactly hiding more then before. We also don't know what role they will play in Guild Wars 2, just because they don't play any in the early levels doesn't mean we won't see anything of them in Arah. I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high |

If I recall, humans get prayers to them that provide actual effects; Also, human characters choose a God in their questionnaire when they make a character. I don't think the gods are completely silent or gone. |

Eh, they're only "gods" (btw, 'gods', not 'god's') in some superficial sense of the word in my opinion. More how the Greek gods were considered gods, though probably less powerful. We've aready seen that one being can take over another's job (Grenth took over, er, Dhumm? I forget exactly, as the god of death). We've seen that they can killed, or sort of... (end of Nightfall quest ya get to pound on Abaddon, in what was pretty much killing him) We've seen that Humans can be 'elevated' to godhood - Kormir becomes a god, also at the end of Nightfall. We also know that there are many other beings claiming to be gods, pseudo gods etc. The Titans, the Musraat (man they're some powerful bastards). So, it's not unlikely that the gods are busy fighting off some other force, possibly even dragons, themselves. Kormir is probably trying to help the few people left in Elona. I'm honestly not a big fan of 'gods' in video games, since they often make them such that I tend to despise them for being cruel, immoral, or just apathetic and unlikable. |

Well... we do know what two of the six Human Gods have been up to in the past 250 years...
Balthazar: he opened the new portal in Lion's Arch to the Mists after the Battle Isles and original portals to the mists sunk due to Zhaitain's awakening; also, he is fighting a war with his crazed half brother Menzies and we have no clue what the outcome of that war was/is
Grenth: he took over as the God of the Underworld from Dhumm... since Dhumm couldn't be destroyed he was imprisoned; right around the time Guild Wars 2 takes place Dhumm was woken up by his minions who were trying to free him; as with Balthazar we don't know the outcome of this war
The other four gods (Dwayna, Melandru, Lyssa, and Kormir) are assumed to still be around but taking a much more passive role in the affairs of Tyria.
Also, keep this in mind... Orr and Arah are the location of Zhaitan. ArenaNet is setting up that zone as a storm the beach zone. We have to take and hold the Temples of the Gods in order to access the dungeon where Zhaitan is. So... from that we can guess that the Human Gods will play some role there. |

They need to keep something for GW3 in 2018 All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick. |
