I'm running: i5-2500k @ 3.3 GHz 8 GB Ram SSD ATI 6970
In most areas when I glance down at my fps its about 40 on max everything. In some DE it drops into the teens and other areas it caps out at 60.
To add, 1080p resolution. |

For me, WvWvW was completely unplayable at 3-4 fps in the large battles yet I have a HD6790 that runs most Unreal-Engine games at a comfy 50-60 FPS on average. ...this is really concerning to me since there's no way I'm going to afford a new Quad/Hex CPU in time for release so I just have to hope that the new AMD Beta drivers along with Anet, fixes this issue for me b/c my GFX card should be handling 40-man fights in WvWvW (but right now the FANS don't even kick on which tells me it's not even using the GPU right now). |

i run everything maxed out (except shadows, which are on medium i think).
i7 920 OC'd to 4.0 gtx 570 6gb ddr3
my perfomance has improved over the BWE's, BWE3 being very smooth in all areas. the biggest change for me going from BWE 2 into 3 was fps in Lion's Arch. went up from something like 20 to ~40ish. |

Honestly, not THAT impressed with the graphics. I'd say it's comparible to what WoW's would be on a newer engine. By WoW I mean the way the art was done made it look better than it actually was which is what this game does. I think TSW has much better eye candy TBH... and planetside 2, once everyone actually gets to experience it first hand, will completely blow you away. |

With this set up I can run TSW with almost everything to max settings and get about 50 FPS most of the time.
My conclusion is the GPU does matter. The CPU does not matter that much. But mostly likely they are not taking full advantage of all the GPUs a GTX690 could use. Sure it probably pushes my CPU pretty hard, but in the end having a better CPU probably would do very little. |

As far as the thread topic goes, for those asking for performance and system specs. I get a pretty consistent 100-120 fps in the game when just running around and doing stuff. It drops as low as 80-90 fps in PvE when doing events where there is a whole lot of other people and other activity around and down to the 60-70 range in very crowded WvWvW areas. This is with all settings cranked up to the absolute max in both the games and in the Nvidia control panel. Except AA, which I do not like the look of, so it is turned off. Edited to add: I have adaptive vsync turned on in the control panel, so 120 fps is as high as it can go (that's my refresh rate). My specs are:
