Another BWE and yet to come out satisfied. This a just zerg fest from start to finish . The events are really no different than clicking on a npc asking you to go kill 10 rats. The art style is colorful but it seems it was made to attract the teenagers of the world. The 5v5 pvp was such a disappointment, they are nothing more than glorified alliance battles which back in the day people shunned at as being real pvp. The Word pvp is nothing more than a huge zerg fest which was unappealing to me. Now I am not saying there is this all great mmo out there because there isn't and I am not really trying to compare mmos here but this mmo is really no different than what we have been playing for the past 10 years or so. I played the original for 5+ years and loved every minute of it. It seems ArenaNet has changed that winning formula because I have this off feeing they changed the combat system to have it appeal to console players. Console players are used to that action dodge and roll combat while pc gamers are more used to something more tactical. After all these years of GW2 being in developement this is what we got ? Very disappointed on how everything about GW2 has turned out. Good luck to those who continue! |

Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft' might win, by fearing to attempt |

This is one of the best mmorpgs that i have played since I started playing mmorpgs in 1996. I am really enjoying it. With that said, I feel the same way about TSW as you seem to feel about GW2, so I can understand. Thankfully we both got to come to our own conclusions via actual experience with the game, and not second hand info. For me it lands me in a mmorpg that i really love, and for you it saves you 60 bucks! Win/Win :)

Even though nothing he said can be argued with. Guild Wars 2 is still better than everything else on the market today. Wich is good and bad. |

I disagree with the OP, the structure of the game is really immersive and the class design (at least for the necro) is awesome!
Played:EQ,AO,EQ2,WoW,EvE,War,FE,STO,DCUO,Rift,SWTOR |

my days are from from over. First i'll 100% every single map(which may take weeks/months), then I'll try the pvp and if i like it the game will keep me busy for a long time. |

I'm not thrilled about the game, but I'd already purchased it way back when, so I'll probably play at launch... really casually... just to see the zones (I like the artwork, especially the cities are magnificent). No idea if I'll be able to stick with it to the cap, though. In the long run, if the WvWvW turns out to be fun, I can see myself hopping into this once in a while solely for that and using it somewhat like a MOBA-MMO.

Do we really need a new thread everytime someone doesn't like this game? Plenty of us decided not to buy TSW after trying beta, but we all didnt start a new thread. Same with TERA. Why is GW2 so special that everyone needs to make their own thread about it not living up to their standards? |

I don't think this game is the second coming, I will be purchasing it though. I am worried about the community though, from a few instances in beta to the community here, which seems to be made up of Pod people and Stepford Wives that insist you join them because resistence is futile. That Guild Wars 2 login screen knocked up my wife. Must be the second coming! |

Sounds like you don't like MMO's to be honest, most of your points are all about the amount of people participating. Of course it's going to be worse than normal due to this being a beta weekend and it will be like this a bit at release. However that has no bearing on how the game will play post release and should be remembered. As for the combat.. I don't know what to say other than the combat in this game is much more tactical than you are making out. |

My husband and I were finally able to pre-purchase GW2 about 2-weeks ago and so we were able to try out the game for the first time this BW. I found it to be an amazing game and I cannot wait till headstart begins and I can play everyday!! I was not disappointed in the least with it. The game, from what little I was able to explore, seems higly polished and lacking in game-breaking bugs - which is a huge step from the last new games I've tried! I loved the character creation, the storylines, the questing, the graphics even on medium setting were breathe-taking! So, no my Guild Wars 2 days are certainly not over, they are just beginning!! |

Originally posted by evilastro I think it might have something to do with all the people that have tried to ram this game down others peoples throats. And because of all the people that have jumped on others when they have had anything negavtive to say. This thread itself, the OP is clueless because he doesn't like the game? Why is that even needed? That Guild Wars 2 login screen knocked up my wife. Must be the second coming! |

I was finally able to try this game out this weekend and it's definitely worth buying but I could never see it as anything but a back-up game whenever I've run out of content or am just tired of my "main" MMO. The stories/quests I've seen aren't bad, they just aren't compelling to me and while this has some of the best PvP I've seen in a MMO, it's still MMO PvP which is poor compared to MOBA and FPS PvP. |
