So comae every one of your posts on this forum are negative and at times nasty/whiney - how has this forum changed do you think? 27 years old as well, bit weird.
rpg/mmorg history: Dun Darach>Bloodwych>Bards Tale 1-3>Eye of the beholder > Might and Magic 2,3,5 > FFVII> Baldur's Gate 1, 2 > Planescape Torment >Morrowind > WOW > oblivion > LOTR > Guild Wars (1900hrs elementalist) Vanguard. > GW2(1000 elementalist), Wildstar
Now playing GW2, AOW 3, ESO, LOTR, Elite D

He is right about one thing. The graphics are not impressive. I have an extremely hoss computer. Even on high/max settings the game looks not so great. Also, the game is still poorly optimized as of last night. I can play any game on the market at ultra with no hitching, lag, low frame performance, but when I tweak gw2 up its like i have a $400 computer from bestbuy.
I've been playing the beta and so far I don't see what all the fuss is about. The game isn't bad....but I just don't think it's as good as what the blind devoters are touting. That being said I'll still play the game for the WvWvW and since my guildmates are all playing it.
Not bashing the game...I just don't think it's jesus's second coming.

Hey I can understand your frustration when a game you wanted to really, REALLY look foward to playing for a very long time does not meet your expectations. You get angry about it given that english (as you have admitted) is NOT your first language. I can see the frustration mounting with each point you're trying to make but cannot convey it in a manor as smoothly as you could in your native tongue. Being as I constantly deal with people who don't speak english very well on a daily basis, I will try to explain some of your points better to the general masses:
Graphics Direct x 9 all has been said before, its REALLY bad, some zones are ugly and you need a battlefield 3 computer to have a devent FPS. I think Wow is far better graphically.
Given the specs they say are needed to run GW2 he probably was hoping there would be more options you could play around with before taking a performance hit to his system. This is what I'm getting from the whole statement he made. I'm sure he mentioned WoW because it allows players to set up their PCs to run it very smoothly AND look good without cranking everything between mid and high settings. So by graphically I think he means better optimized for mid to low range PCs.
Solution: Wait for retail to see if ArenaNET has tweaked the graphic settings to allow more options for mid to low range PCs. WoW has had many years to throughly test their game on several system configurations. So it's not fair to judge the two games when one has been out for years and the other hasn't even been released yet.
The UI is terrible, the map is terrible, so bad that im lost and I dont want to use it.
Again I believe the lack of options is frustrating to him and the whole run around blindly while looking for a visual que is NOT to his liking. ESPECIALLY if npcs are triggering events in english voiceovers and his native language is NOT english. Traditional delivery of quest dialog is in written form and GW2 is steering away from that method. It can really be a wall for those that don't know english well, as they can take their time to translate something that is displayed in english in front of them.
Solution: Again wait for retail as many issues with the type of options players have to make their experience while playing enjoyable will only get better. I really do feel that GW2 will have a subtitle option for events being played out. It would really surprise me if they do not take in account the millions upon MILLIONS of mmo players that are hearing impaired or don't speak english.
Maniability is a joke, I almost felt I couldnt control my character, do a 360degree is impossible. Comon ? Swtor and Aion copied wow and they were right, why not gw2 ? A big mess.
I think what he means here is maneuverability, responsiveness and mouse sensitivity. And if his PC's fps is terrible to begin with, then this would also be bad as well. I really cannot comment on this as I have not played yet (I want everything to be fresh for me), but those that PvP often will only accept the very minimum lost for these three things before they consider the PvP option not viable for them. Taking in consideration that he was having it rough with the PvE aspects of the game, THIS would be equally frustrating and disappointing if he decided to go the PvP route.
Solution: Sorry if I seem like I'm repeating myself but all you can do is wait to see how things will play out after retail release. GW2 may very will be optimized once more before retail release. Other than that, if it's a gameplay decision it may very will be based upon the fact that weapons can be swapped out and they wanted to slow down the action so it could be better followed for players.
Skill are autoshot and all the same, classes are deja-vu, there is no awesome classes. I felt I allready played this a hundred of times.. here again wow is FARRRR beyond.
It seems the first sentence is about how all weapons have a standard attack skill and basically do the same things for the 2 types: melee and range. And about classes being the same, he may mean across races since there is no factions. Also if he's played MMOs for years then that includes many F2Ps that might have reminded him a bit of GW2.
Solution: Instead of playing like you normally would in a given mmo, try to mix up how you play and what classes you normally play with. FYI (for your information) begining areas are NEVER a good indication of how classes will play when you start reaching the upper levels. You could very will be surprised by how different the same class you played at a lower level is at a higher level. Lastly, you cannot keep comparing a game that has had the time to flesh out serveral classes to one that isn't even out yet.
I want to play but I cant, I'm still in the start zone but seriously the game is allready pissing me off, just pain, its a mess. I wonder if I should retry to play but it feels like im going to work !!
The game is terrible and it surely be a gigantic fail, im not surprised of ncsoft btw. I am a very big mmo player since 10years and I dont approve gw2.
Im sad too, there is not mmo to play anymore. I want to play to a decent mmo, I want to buy, I want to love Gw2, but I CANT.
This is just further showing his frustration of NOT being able to enjoy something that he put his heart and soul into really wanting to play. It just goes to show you that these games we play are meant to be just that: GAMES WE PLAY. They are NOT to be used as social crutches, substitutes for any type of fulfillment or extreme emotional fixations we sometimes find ourselves attached to.
I also wanted to give him a perspective (and solutions) of someone who has NEVER played the game yet and is NOT enamored by the recent BWEs.
