The results so far reflect similar research done putting the common age of MMOers at 25-30.

But the research suggesting MMO players were 25-30 was done about 8 years ago. I remember reading it and thinking "thats me!". These days however, it must have increased, as all my friends still play, and we are now mid to late 30's. I'd think it would be 25-35 now.

i turn 48 this year.

 i still play computer  games, drive fast cars (faster now that i can afford better ones), ride even faster motorcycles, regularly practice cutting with functional swords, shoot at the range with my pistols, play with my 2 kids, bang my smoking hot wife (married for 20 years tyvm), daily go to a full time job doing what i like,  and yes...

i am about 15 years old at heart.  and the luckyiest man i know. i guess age is what you make of it.

I think GW2 is perfect for adults with jobs and/or kids, because it is very casual friendly, and that's why I think it will attract more mature players.

lol, what school did you go to? My high school not only required a lot of home work when I went but from what I understand it currently assigns quite a lot of home work to students.

no, that would the be education system in the UK.. we've been top of the laughing stock league for at least 5 years now, the american one is just copying us

Seriously 8 years ago when I was in highschool I did so much homework. My fingers were numb at the end of the day. I have a lot more free time now. Work 2 16 hour shifts and 1 8 hour shift a week with 4 days off. I started Security after I got out of the army I don't really have to do anything and the hours are great.

Just like the Army thou Your Experience May Differ Bassed on MOS and Assignment.

I'd more homework in high school than i did in college.

What's interesting to notice is that the 30+ crowd is equal to the 1-30 one.

30+: 50.4%

1-20: 49.6%

In my opinion, one becomes "mature" when he leaves the parent's basement and protection and starts to earn his own money and pay his own bills and taxes. Before that, one doesn't have a clue about what being mature means. No offense meant by the way, it's just that there are things which must be experienced to understand fully.

That has nothing to do with social behavior. a 13 year old can behave very nicely, while a 50 year old can be totally antisocial. This said, younger people (adolescents) in general are more socially disruptive than adults, social behavior is also something most learn with age. We were all adolescents, we know how it is... ;-)

50, 51, 68.  All three players in our guild. Most others are over 35.

Whew... just made it into the 31-40 group.

Now get off my lawn.
