Ya agreed, i hate it how they gave out all those beta keys for BWE3. The only valid point those QQers can say is that there is no open world pvp, which they have a point and we can't really argue with that. Open world pvp is the best endgame. Other than that those qqers have nothing on GW2. |

Seriously, those last BWE 1&2 was boring for me... Not even single QQer or troll in zone chat. Everyone was happy and exicted while playing. I hope that will change, as OP stated, in this BWE. I'll play Sylvari but not to much (don't want to too much spoils before release) and I hope there will "those", u know. I'll wait for them, I'll not turn off zone chat. :) |

GW forum lives its own life A neverending fight just never ends A threat that actually says "prepare yourself, QQstorm is comming" Take a look at forums of other games from the "most hyped" ladder. Of course there are disputes and disagreement, but here it gets personal... I was going to say something about the OWPvP, but I rather wont. Dont want my car to blow up next time I start the engine Playing: Nothing atm My game concept thread: http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/369707 (any feedback appreciated) |

Originally posted by xalvi I'm curious if this hatred is a result of them getting in for free, while you had to pay $60. Do you feel you're entitled to be the only people to 'beta test' the game because you paid for it? If so, doesn't that speak pretty negatively toward the idea of having a purchaseable beta test? Honestly, why is it such a big deal? If people get into the beta and honestly don't care for the game, let them voice their opinions. If they like it all the more power to them. I don't see why people need to get so defensive about this game. Release a game with a very large established fanbase from 10+ years of bnet history when the market was still emerging and the casual base had not yet been established, thus ripe for harvesting a momentious self perpetuating playerbase people never leave because they have X hours invested in their characters, and their friends and everyone else plays anyway. Not discounting Blizzard quality... but WoW's success is as much about perfect timing as it is quality, if not more so. - Derros |

Originally posted by altas Oh no, a game where people appeared to be enjoying themselves and the product that many of them purchased. The horror. Seriously, why would anyone want to experience people trolling GW2 in the BWE? Does it somehow vindicate a person who doesn't like the game? Does it somehow make the gameplay worse? Does it somehow make other games that you like better?
Or are people so petty that they will be logging in to GW2 looking for trolls to quickly run to the forums and say things like "See, people aren't enjoying themselves in game ergo GW2 is awful." Anyone who has been around for the past several BWEs knows exactly what is going to happen on these forums starting Friday. "Loading screens" are not "instances". |

easy answer to most talk about GW2.
to the haters, the game will be better than you say it will be.
to the fans, this game will not be the second coming.

Originally posted by Freedom4u2 It's funny b/c these are 3 of the biggest reasons I'm enjoying it so much...
And the Pay-to-Win thing people like saying, is one of those things people just repeat like a catch phrase just to feel like they're part of hip majority without even understanding it. The truth is, when it comes to Microtransactions in 90% of all games (esp Korean ones)... THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS P 2 W.
...the correct label is: Pay to NOT SUFFER. And it's almost entirely based on how most of the "grindier" aspects in the game link together. And in ANY game with some kind of lasting stamina or metagame, there has to be be things that take a while to achieve, even when they're purely skill based things. For instance:
...in some cases, the tools (& gaming rigs) to practice these kinds of things are granted earlier to people who payed more up front. Or in other cases (like with TF2 hats), if you want the most unique ones, you actually have to pay real money for them or have a huge in-game econmic advantage already. If you don't already have it and you're playing catch-up, then it's going to feel a bit like suffering.
This WILL be the case in GW2. Infact the entire economy will be based on it. There will be things that can only be gained with serious amounts of skill, or serious amounts of catching-up to people who played the game every day. ....we already saw instances of this with HOM'd accounts being sold(illegally) online for triple digits. The difference is that in GW2, there aren't as many "grindy" mechanics and there's a LOT more alternative ways to get things (including getting "better at the game") without "suffering" for them. |

Originally posted by rutaq are you saying Devil may cry and God of War arent action games? looool. always like someone say because one game have tab target isnt a action game, Tera dont have it and DMC and GoW are much better action games, well GoW series is in fact on of best action games and if i remember have tab target system. DMC have for sure, GoW im pretty sure have too so in your opinion any MMO is P2W since you can pay a friend to play with your account for some hours you couldnt play? |

Originally posted by Garvon3 Not completely true as Anet provided relatively detailed information about all things in game as development progressed, backed up by in game footage and that for quite some time. There's also been playable demos on gameshows since gamescom 2010 (where I attended and spent almost 2 full days at their boothe and last year 3 full days) so a lot of folks actually already had time with the game and some (me included) talked to some developers directly because they were out there on the showfloor as much as they could, face to face it becomes even more clear how honest they are, I'm sure they weren't all sent to acting classes specifically for gameshows as their expertise is elsewhere... It's easy to throw around terms like marketing and hype but it's better to do research where it all originated from, how it was provided and backed up with which "evidence" etc. before dismissing at as just marketing talk like other game companies provide with their fancy CGI trailers and empty promises that aren't backed up by detail nor in-game footage. |

Originally posted by grimal People are quick to point overhype, but there also has been over BS from people that don't have the least idea about the game. There is a difference between not caring about a game (I didn't give a damn about SWTOR, looked to me as WoW in space, but that didn't make me go talk crap in SWTOR forums) and getting out the way to bash a game based on nothing. There is a difference between pointing problems with the game, like talking about the fact there were no chat bubbles or the camera didn't zoom far enough (both sorted since) and spew generalizatioins and opinions that mean nothing other than maybe it is not their gamestyle.
