I don't mind zone walls; zones cannot expand in all directions forever, but I would like to know if there are many artificial "invisible walls". Stuff like not being able to jump off the ramp of a tree in the Sylvari Forest. Any of that? Or is it more like early EQ's Kelethin, where you can fall off the edge? |

Originally posted by ReallyNow10 I've fallen to my death in all the OTHER cities, not the Sylvari or Asura cities yet, so I don't see why not. There's one giant hole in the human city you can't jump into, but I assume it's because there's some sort of huge story thing behind the Great Collapse. It's probably where an expansion starts. :P |

A sword is never a killer, it is a tool in the killer's hands. |

the area around the collapse in Divinity's Reach and in the Black Citadel to keep you out of Haunted Nolani under the city... even though I got past it anyways and went running around in there for fun. But they were the only 2 I found. |

Originally posted by ReallyNow10 I haven't come across any invisible walls, all walls were real. The hole another poster was talking about has a fence to stop you falling off, so its not an invisible wall. |

Originally posted by evilastro Good. In TERA, I found a beautiful waterfall and drop off in the starting area. But, you cannot jump into the water and swim to it; so it might as well be a painting. Hoping GW2 is more "real" and it sounds like it might be. |

Originally posted by ReallyNow10 While I am not a fan of TERA, to be fair that was only in the starter zone. Once you got past there the invisible walls went away. |

The world is really open feeling, no stupid invisible walls all over like a lot of MMOs use to be cheap. There might be some but I didn't notice them if there were, and it's usually one of the first things I notice, being an explorer type. |

There's a few areas where there are walls preventing you from falling, but they are few and far between.
I also found one in when I jumped into a bay and tried to swim out to sea. Generally though, few walls. |

I saw a castle floating on air with nothing but sea underneath. How interesting? |

I found a single invisible wall....it was in the BWE...during which I was standing at a castle wall we just destroyed and the enemy built the wall while I was standing there. It made the wall around me, invisible. I was stuck inside. Clearly to everyone outside the wall it was normal, but to me it was invisble because I was inside it. I did report the bug, which I think it was, but it was funny.

Remember: the Anet teams are implementing jumping puzzles all over the place...im sure they have a few easter egg jumping puzzles that they have added or would like to add for people to stumble upon :) |

I found quite a few in Beta myself and recorded a good half hour of them (that I've been too lazy to go back and Encode/Upload). |

There are definitely artifical bounds in the game, but they are used sparingly. You can definitely fall to your death...I have done it multiple times. But as other posters said, there are artificial bounds in Divinity's Reach that don't let you go into the Great Collapse. But for the most part...there aren't really many artificial bounds. Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob? |

They exist but are almost always very well concealed. |
