Question: since a majority of the buildings/homes are closed off, are we going to be allowed inside more of the buildings before the stand alone is released? if so, will there be more spawn points added, or spawn points spread out more? Question: are there any plans to add anymore new items in game anytime soon? and if so, what kind?

Are you looking to make money off this game or just provide a game to a niche market? This game would make much more sense if you catered to a more broad market. Such as pve coop players who want to team up with friends and scavenge and survive. Not having to worry about bandits. Maybe bandit npcs? Bigger player base = more money. I more money = more development funds. I can't think of one hard core pvp only game that is a front runner in the limelight in the long run.

Originally posted by Valentina some people have issues with the install (like myself), but others get it up and running with no issues. i actually had a few different problems, but all the answers were found on the forums. compared to most installs where you just press install and you're up and running, this one does look a bit more complecated to some people. once you're in your first few tries of the game, it all becomes worth it. perma death, paranoia, scavanging or hunt for food, having to eat/drink to survive, have to watch your body temp, repair and opperate vehicles (atv, boats, helicoptors, etc), etc, etc, etc... it's a pretty sick concept. dude just seems to want to make the game as real as he can. it gets better with almost every patch imo. Do not get rid of the hive servers... that would be a bad move.. Part the pull of the game for most people is the fact the game is persistant accross all servers.. Do not get rid of this.. |

@ DEXA88 This mod does indeed (or did - haven't played for a while) work with Arma II Free. You need the Chernarus map from either Arma II or the free version, and the game engine from Operation Arrowhead which can be picked up on Steam for around £11. http://kodabar.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/how-to-install-dayz-with-arma-2-free.html Ok, it's not totally free, but it's the most fun I ever had for the price of a pizza and a beer.

I see the live stream is scheduled to take place tomorrow, on the 19th, but about what time specifically? It'd be great to know in advance so I could be certain to watch. "This is life! We suffer and slave and expire. That's it!" -Bernard Black (Dylan Moran) |

not really sure how to work this into a question, but there is word that they may make an 8 hour respawn timer. this would be kind of cool for vets, but new players would be really pissed off by this. even vets can be picked off by coastal stalkers still. i have a few friends that just started playing this with me, and with how long it takes to find each other, they wouldn't be playing with me anymore if the night ended after the first time they died. we make plans to play for Friday and saturday nights. 46 minute average life (as of this post) =/= 8 hour respawn timer. it's just a bad idea. the more new players this game gets the better imho. all the vets have the bandit mentality from what i've come across, and the new players are all wanting to play friendly. the more friendlies the better. they make my game time more fun for me instead of just running around in some big deathmatch. Question: what are some of the plans for dealing with bandits and when can we expect to try those changes? the bandit skins were a decent idea, but never really handled the issues players were complaining about on the DayZ forums. Experience is the best teacher.. if you can afford the tuition. |

1. Do you intend to implement some kind of goals in the game that motivate players to work together? 2. Any plans to release this game for Arma 3? Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. |
